Jialan looked at the blade mark that ran through the beast's jaws. Beyond its shattered fangs, its mouth was pitch-black in the abyssal seawater, and nothing could be seen at all.
"More precisely, in its stomach." Lin Qiye stared into the beast's mouth, his eyes lighting up slightly. "I think I've found that thing."
He patted the Lantern Fish beneath him and communicated with it through his thoughts. The next moment, the two of them were enveloped in a faint yellow glow as they slowly flew into the giant beast's mouth.
The beast was simply too enormous. Even its mouth was the size of an ordinary stadium. By the Lantern Fish's light, Jialan could clearly see the hidden teeth lining its mouth in uneven rows, mixed with fragments of large fish bones.
After passing through its mouth, the Lantern Fish traveled down its esophagus. After an unknown amount of time, they arrived in a dim space that seemed endless. Countless fish carcasses and the skeletons of strange creatures floated in the air like a massive graveyard of bones, while an inexplicable stench of rot spread through the water.
"This is its stomach?" Jialan wrapped her arms around Lin Qiye's waist and examined their surroundings by the Lantern Fish's glow, asking curiously, "Isn't this a little too big?"
"One of its stomachs," Lin Qiye added. "It has four more like this."
Jialan's mouth fell open in shock.
As the Lantern Fish moved forward, a blood-red wall of flesh gradually emerged from the darkness ahead.
The surface of the fleshy wall was uneven, seemingly coated with traces of green gastric fluid. It stretched endlessly in every direction, enclosing the entire space.
This was the edge of the stomach.
