Background / History

Minato led Kakashi, Obito, and Rin during a survival exercise, while Kushina oversaw Genma's group. He kept Kakashi's identity concealed due to the boy's special circumstances and supported Kushina's efforts to become a capable squad leader despite the restrictions placed on her as a Jinchūriki. He promised to change Konoha's view of Jinchūriki if he became Hokage. 21

During a mission against rogue ninja at Rainbow Mist Mountain, Minato organized the teams into scouting and support formations, devised the assault plan, and used a Shadow Clone to infiltrate the enemy stronghold.
