After the Ten Emperors Battle, the Ten Realms fell into a brief calm.

The Boundless Ancient Road sparked some discussion, which soon died down.

All Demigods and Martial Saints ventured out less often and intensified their cultivation, preparing for the fourth tier of the God-Ascension Stairway.

Some Demigods and Martial Saints began considering whether to participate in the upcoming God-Ascension Stairway.

The death rate was too high.

As the gods of the Ten Realms waited, the God-Ascension Stairway radiated light, illuminating the Ten Realms.

The fourth tier of the God-Ascension Stairway opened.

A nine-level square platform appeared above the fourth tier of the Heavenly Stairway.

All Demigods received the same Heavenly Stairway message.

This tier of the Heavenly Stairway was called the Nine Heavens.

It tested combat ability, comprehension ability, and mental willpower.

The lower three levels, middle three levels, and upper three levels had similar trials, but the difficulty increased tenfold with each level.

At the same time, the difficulty would be adjusted according to one's realm.

Each completed level received one of three ratings.

Pass, Excellent, or Transcendence.

A pass came with no additional reward. Only after passing all nine levels would one receive one Heaven-Tier Star.

If one received Excellent three or more times and passed all nine levels, one would receive two Heaven-Tier Stars.

Receiving Transcendence once and passing the trial would earn three Heaven-Tier Stars.

When the number of Transcendence ratings reached three, six, and nine, additional Heavenly Stairway rewards would be granted.

When the trial chain for the fourth tier of the Heavenly Stairway formed, the Demigods finally let out the breath they had been holding.
