Arc 1Kazuna Takes Command

Uchiha Kazuna returned to clan politics, became Vice Clan Leader and Head of the Military Police Force, and reorganized the Uchiha while maneuvering against Hiruzen and Danzo. By the end, Danzo was preparing to target him, and Kazuna was shaping the clan’s public conduct and looking for members skilled at speaking with villagers.

  • Kazuna revealed his Mangekyō to Shisui, warned Setsuna that the Uchiha faced destruction, and helped convene a Clan Council where Yashiro proposed expanding the Military Police Force.
  • Kazuna defeated Fugaku in a duel, won approval as Vice Clan Leader, and opposed an armed coup while issuing new rules for security, patrols, ninjutsu training, and support for clan members in need.

Arc 2The Uchiha and the Root

Kazuna survived Danzo’s assassination attempt and used the clash to deepen the village’s divisions, while Shikaku built a clan alliance that forced Hiruzen to remove Danzo from Root. After leaving Konoha, Kazuna negotiated with Obito, gained a new Sage Art fruit, and captured the Jashin Cultists as a source of life energy.

  • Danzo sent Root to kill Kazuna in the Death Forest, but Kazuna defeated the attackers with his techniques and Susanoo as Hiruzen and the clans arrived.
  • Fugaku defied Danzo’s order to keep the Uchiha on their grounds, led the clan to support Kazuna, and accused Danzo of targeting them.

Arc 3The Uchiha Stand Their Ground

Kazuna gathered allies and strengthened the Uchiha while maneuvering against Hiruzen and Danzo’s faction. After Danzo attacked Shisui and Kazuna retaliated, Hiruzen and Kazuna faced off as open conflict threatened.

  • Kazuna defeated Kakuzu, took several of his hearts, and used his Mangekyo to bring Kakuzu and Hidan under his influence.
  • Kazuna brought Uzuki Uzumaki and Karin Uzumaki from Kusagakure to Konohagakure, then refused Hiruzen’s demand to hand them over and accused him of mistreating Naruto.

Arc 4The Hokage Succession Crisis

Kazuna drove Hiruzen from power by turning the village against him, then helped Torifu Akimichi become Acting Hokage while strengthening the Uchiha’s position. After an ambush and a diplomatic dispute with Sunagakure, Kazuna proposed that the two villages join forces against Kumogakure.

  • Kazuna steered rumors about the Uchiha and the deaths of prominent shinobi toward Hiruzen, who resigned and proposed a Fifth Hokage election.
  • Kazuna challenged the Hokage candidates and forced a compromise in which Torifu Akimichi became Acting Hokage and Tsunade was nominated to succeed Hiruzen.
