History

Spirit Hall takes in and raises war orphans such as Chen Changfeng, who was brought to Spirit Academy after his parents died in a border war. Its academy conducts Spirit Awakening ceremonies and trains youths through dangerous field exercises in the Spirit Hunting Mountain Range. 1 2

Its internal authority is divided between Bibi Dong's Papal Palace and Qian Daoliu's Worship Hall. While Bibi Dong's influence is extensive, Qian Daoliu retains control over the Elder Hall and Worship Hall; the Judgment Elder's authority is derived from him and carries exceptional weight. 9 11

During the Continental Soul Master Elite Tournament, Spirit Hall Academy wins the championship, while the actions of its Judgment Elder result in the deaths of Tang Hao, Shrek's three headmasters, and Dugu Bo in Spirit City. The resulting backlash from Heaven Dou and the major sects places Spirit Hall at the center of continental unrest. 28

After Chen Changfeng destroys the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, Spirit Hall forcibly founds the Spirit Hall Empire. Its territory is formed from more than ten former kingdoms and duchies located between the Heaven Dou and Star Luo Empires, and Bibi Dong becomes its first emperor. 48 49

The new empire recalls its soul masters from halls in the former empires, calls on soul masters across the continent to join, and treats refusal as heresy. Its rapid expansion catches both great empires unprepared. 49

Ten thousand years later, the Spirit Hall Empire remains the continent's dominant power. Spirit City serves as its Eternal Imperial Capital, and the empire's Shrek Supervisory Corps holds law-enforcement authority to investigate persecution by Evil Soul Masters. 121 126 132

In the Battle Through the Heavens world, Chen Changfeng and Qian Renxue establish a new force under the name Spirit Hall through alliances with the Snake People Tribe, the Eastern Amethyst Lion King Mountain Range, and the Yun Lan Sect. Qian Renxue serves as its Empress. 226

Facilities and Territory

• Spirit City — Spirit Hall's original center and later the Spirit Hall Empire's capital. It houses the Papal Palace, Worship Hall, Douluo Hall, Spirit Plaza, and the western mountain forbidden ground. 5 132 134
• Spirit Hunting Mountain Range — A controlled training ground behind Spirit City containing ten-year soul beasts. It is guarded by armed Spirit Hall soldiers and enclosed by a fortified iron fence. 2
