The Ice Waterfall roared with water.
The snow had not stopped. Holding her umbrella, Bai Yujun left the scenic trail and appeared beside the Ice Waterfall hanging high upon the cliff. No snow clung to the plain white canopy. In this world filled with white, the Dragon Girl's delicate beauty stood out all the more. The umbrella shaft rested against her shoulder near her exquisite, lovely face. Her red lips lent color to the icy, snowy world. Her fine brows were faintly furrowed, and worries lingered in her phoenix eyes.
Water splashed across the ice. Above, it was water; halfway down, it scattered into mist; the cold vapor spread across the ground, frosting the withered grass.
Her pointed ears heard the sound of icy water, and a few icicles hung from her dragon horns.
From afar, one could only see the scenery. Up close, the feeling was deeper. Perhaps everyone felt differently. At the very least, Bai Yujun only wished to quietly watch it all.
Just looking was enough. There was no need for excessive passion or emotional sighs—only a need to look carefully.
The heavy snow cut off the tourists, and the mountains and wilderness returned to their original solitude and chill.
No one saw that a dragon had appeared beneath the Ice Waterfall...
Looking back at the layered distant mountains half-hidden in the snow, she saw, along the way, forests waiting quietly for spring, low and crooked birch trees weathered by wind and frost, sparse withered yellow grass blades poking through the snow. Farther ahead, only snow and mountain rock remained.
