Bai Yujun leisurely admired the view from the restaurant's top floor.
Though called a private room, it actually occupied nearly the entire top floor. Aside from the exquisite lift pavilion for guests, the remaining space held a separate lifting mechanism for attendants. It could accommodate several hundred people and host a grand banquet.
The decorations and furnishings were tasteful, enhanced by Spiritual Plants that had accumulated years of age.
Flowerpots of every strange shape had been arranged throughout according to a formation. Spirit fruit and exotic trees glimmered faintly, while Spirit Flowers of varying sizes and colors gave off a subtle fragrance. Every Spiritual Plant had at least a thousand years of medicinal age, and the spiritual energy inside the building was so dense that it was no worse than the cave abodes of certain small Lineages.
Perhaps because Bai Yujun had arrived too suddenly, the furnishings on the top floor needed some adjustments. The maidservants worked silently and orderly.
They removed the extra seats, brought in screens to alter the layout, and laid down brand-new cushions.
The southern side had no doors or windows and stood completely open. Beyond it was a terrace with railings, allowing one to admire the night scenery indoors or drink beneath the moon on the terrace.
The sweet-looking little maidservant felt that Bai Yujun was not so difficult to get along with.
She was tranquil and indifferent, seeming to wear a smile, yet carrying the cold aloofness of someone seated high above the Ninth Heavens. She was right before one's eyes, yet as distant as an unreachable horizon—as though they belonged to two different worlds. At least the little maidservants did not need to worry about her making things difficult for them.
