She sat on the rooftop for half the night, watching the lights change in the two worlds.
Near dawn, she rose and summoned the General Store Pavilion back, shrinking it into a small pendant to carry with her. She gave her White Dragon World one more look. The heights were cold and desolate, and white vapor streamed from her breath.
She bent her knees slightly, kicked off hard, and vanished from where she stood.
When she reappeared, she was already at the military camp docks near the South Heavenly Gate, where she found the small spacecraft she had used before.
Sure enough, all the crew had run off.
She condensed several more crew-member clones, instilling them with the same knowledge of piloting and navigation. She contacted the shipyard to begin preflight preparations. Vehicles immediately delivered vast quantities of food supplies for loading, massive mechanical arms connected pipelines to replenish energy, workers loaded special weapon ammunition, and cleaning robots waved brushes as they scrubbed the spacecraft at top speed.
The preparations were completed quickly and efficiently.
Bai Yujun entered the cockpit with a cup of juice in hand. She stood between the pilot and copilot seats, watching the bustle as her clones activated the systems one by one. Screens lit up in succession, displaying data. Through the glass, she could see workers releasing the restraints while gigantic mechanical arms slowly retracted the pipelines.
She took a sip of juice. Sweet and sour—it was truly delicious.
The formation and propulsion systems started. The ship tilted slightly and slowly departed the dock. Holding her juice in her left hand, Bai Yujun reached out with her right and pulled over a screen. She quickly entered the Immortal Bridge's transmission direction, once again having it send them as far as it possibly could.
Day broke.
