Children were innocent and pure; they did not find the sight of a dragon unbelievable.
Perhaps to children, fairies or talking sheep were as natural as flowers blooming in spring. The world was beautiful, everything could be explained through fairy tales. Maybe they liked princes and princesses, but they were even more likely to like sheep and bears.
"A white dragon~ So huge~ It can fly~"
The young couple with their backs to the lake thought their daughter was talking about a cartoon. There were no dragons in this world...
"Mhm, such a huge white dragon. The dragon came to see Yaya, to see whether Yaya goes to bed on time and keeps brushing her teeth. She can't sleep in or eat too many snacks~"
Behind them, a gigantic head rose from the lake and drifted toward the shore.
The little girl's eyes widened as she curiously watched the white dragon emerge from the water. It really could fly, and it was far larger than the dragons in cartoons. Floating in midair seemed no different from being in the water.
"Yaya is very good~"
The young couple suddenly felt that something was wrong with their daughter. They thought she might be hallucinating because she was ill, but it did not seem quite like that. Out of curiosity, they turned around for a look, and their entire bodies froze...
After less than two seconds of stunned silence, they turned and ran. They stumbled and crawled backward through the snow, only to suddenly realize that their daughter was still standing where she was...
By then, the monster's claw had already landed beside their daughter. Its enormous talons curved like hooks, its pointed teeth glinted with cold light. With a slight opening of its mouth, it could swallow the family of three whole.
