Sirius had spent a full twelve years in Azkaban, changing from a proud, carefree handsome young man into the haggard middle-aged man he was now.
"I'm fine, Remus." Sirius looked much better, though traces of pain still lingered in his eyes. "Miss Skeeter, ask whatever you want. I'll answer anything I can."
Rita flashed her trademark smile, one she thought was charming. "It's not really a serious question, Mr. Black. You and Rodolphus Lestrange seem to be related, don't you?"
"Yes, he's my... cousin's husband." Sirius paused. "My cousin is the infamous Death Eater, Bellatrix."
She feigned surprise. "It was her! Bellatrix, one of the twelve core Death Eaters who escaped from Azkaban!"
Her overly dramatic reaction made Sirius's mouth twitch sharply.
"Mr. Black, then what were they like in Azkaban?"
Rita was not the only one eager for gossip; the entire cast of The Gryffindor Legend was the same.
Sirius cleared his throat, his tone somewhat disdainful. "Them... They were no different from those damned Death Eaters. They spent all day ranting and screaming like lunatics, and even when they were occasionally lucid, they never stopped shouting, 'Master, Master.'"
Rita blinked her bright eyes and looked at him sympathetically. "Surrounded by a group of lunatics like that for twelve whole years, Mr. Black, you must have had a very hard time."
Sirius smiled and shook his head. "It was all right. There was always a firm belief in my heart that kept me sane. Without it, I think I might have gone mad like them long ago."
Just when everyone thought Rita would use the opportunity to elevate the topic, she unexpectedly pulled out a small card.
"We specially collected some questions from the show's fans. Now, let the cast answer their fans' questions."
