Hermione's premonition was correct.
After she and Vincent arrived at Hogsmeade Station, they carried their two adorable pets to the waiting area. Before long, the Hogwarts Express arrived as well.
Before the train had even come to a complete stop, the twins jumped down from the control room at the front.
Watching the two stride over, Vincent and Hermione finally understood where that ominous feeling had come from.
"Missed you to death, my good buddy~"
Vincent deftly stepped aside, dodging both huge hugs.
Fred, his arms outstretched, looked toward Hermione. After receiving a glare from her, he pursed his lips and lowered his hands.
"Come on, you two are way too heartless."
Vincent dodged George's hug again. "Didn't we see each other in Diagon Alley yesterday?"
George flashed a wide grin. "Yesterday was yesterday. Today is today."
He lowered his hands as well and looked around curiously with Fred.
"Buddy, where did you hide the car?"
Vincent raised his left hand and wiggled the index finger wearing the Flamel Ring.
The twins' eyes lit up as they rubbed their hands together with grins. "Buddy, we've wanted to drive a Muggle car for ages."
"Didn't you drive Uncle Arthur's car before?"
"That's different. Dad's old clunker can fly, sure, but whenever it runs, I worry the wheels might fall off."
Vincent thought about it. Lending it to them was not entirely out of the question.
"It's possible, but..."
The twins stared at him expectantly. "But what?"
"But..." Vincent gestured behind them. "You have quite a few competitors."
Cedric had arrived, with James and Alfred following behind him.
Muggle vehicles held no appeal for wizards, but Vincent had designed a future Speed Myth.
No boy could refuse a Bugatti, just as no girl could refuse a sparkly little dress.
"Old Vin~"
"Stop."
