Umbridge stared at Hermione and said in a commanding tone, "Listen, Miss Granger. Nothing like what happened with Wayne will happen again. He will not have the chance to endanger the school, because the Ministry of Magic will be locking him up in Azkaban before long.

"You students only need to do what students are supposed to do. If there is any danger, the Ministry of Magic will deal with it immediately."

Hermione's gaze turned colder. Umbridge had successfully angered her.

Unaware of this, Umbridge turned toward the students below the podium and lightly clapped her hands. "Who else has a question?"

Would the students obediently listen to her? No. She was wrong—very wrong.

Not only was Hermione still raising her hand, but Harry, Ron, Lavender, James, Alfred, Dean, and even Neville had raised theirs as well.

Umbridge's drooping eyelids twitched violently. She fixed her gaze on Neville's face as he hunched his neck. "And you are?"

"Longbottom... Neville Longbottom."

In a sing-song voice she clearly thought was sweet, she asked, "Very well, Mr. Longbottom. What is your question?"

Though Neville still had his neck hunched, he gathered the courage to meet her eyes. "P-Professor Umbridge, you just said students only need to do what students are supposed to do. Then what... what exactly are we supposed to do?"

"That is an excellent question." Umbridge's toad-like face was piled with a false smile. "What students should do, of course, is study. Study courses that have been strictly reviewed by the Ministry of Magic, and study in a safe, risk-free manner."

"What use is that?" Harry's voice was loud. "Hermione is right. Theory is only theory. We would rather—"

"Mr. Potter, it is not your turn to ask a question." Umbridge's pale face seemed to darken faintly. "Next, Mr. Weasley."
