Carrying their equipment and following the directions, Gengetsu and the other two arrived at Third Squad's room, where they found two people already waiting.
"Senior!"
The three hurriedly saluted.
"I'm your captain, Sarutobi Sue. Codename: Sue!"
The middle-aged man with a long ponytail spoke, then pointed at the purple-haired young man beside him. "He's Uduki Midori. Codename: Midori. Introduce yourselves as well!"
The three immediately introduced themselves one by one. Sarutobi Sue and Uduki Midori broke out in a cold sweat as they listened. Three gods—those codenames really put a lot of pressure on people.
After clearing his throat twice, Sarutobi Sue said, "Put on your equipment. I'll assign the mission next!"
"Yes!"
Gengetsu and the other two nodded and each put on their arm guards and armor vests.
"This mission is to enter the Land of Hot Water. Task one: exchange the Alliance Treaty with the Hidden Hot Water Village's ninja. Task two: investigate the disappearance of our intelligence personnel!"
Sarutobi Sue said solemnly.
"Understood!"
Everyone answered in unison. They then put on their masks and, after leaving the ANBU headquarters, immediately sprang into motion, leaping through the trees. Once they left Konoha, they headed north.
Gengetsu's first impression of the ANBU was that they executed missions with swift efficiency. There was barely any conversation along the way, and their travel speed was extremely fast. By around two in the afternoon on the second day, they had reached the Land of Fire Border. After resting for an hour, they set off again, crossed the border, and entered the Land of Hot Water.
Another hour passed before the team stopped. Sarutobi Sue and Uduki Midori went to meet with the Hidden Hot Water ninja, while Gengetsu and the other two remained where they were and waited.
Watching the two leave,
