Happy Times Are Always Short-Lived
"Malfoy Manor." Jeans pointed to Wiltshire on the map and said with great certainty, "This is the place where the young master is most likely to be."
Are you sure?
"I am at least 90% confident."
At Hogwarts, Draco Malfoy and the young master had the best relationship, and both were Slytherin House.
When he first took over the young master's family, he had met Lucius Malfoy once, so it wouldn't seem too abrupt to visit his home.
Furthermore, Malfoy Manor is exactly a little over a hundred miles from where the young master was last seen. Given his flying equipment, it should only take him an hour to reach, making it the perfect place for him to land.
"Hmm!" Anna nodded thoughtfully. "Since you've decided, boss, let's not delay and set off now."
"No." Jeans calmly refused Anna's request to accompany him. "You have to stay here and guard the place. It's not the time for you people to meet with him yet."
The others continued their thorough search, just in case I was wrong, there would still be a chance to fill in any gaps.
After saying that, Jeans went into the back room and quickly tidied his appearance.
After all, he has already won more than half of this game, and the victory is a foregone conclusion, so he can't be too embarrassed. Only in this way can he show his composure.
A dozen minutes later, Jeans changed into a clean and tidy suit, and the bloodshot eyes that had been caused by his agitation were gone. He had even carefully tidied his hair.
Compared to before, her overall demeanor has improved significantly.
"Lord Jeans," Anna's eye twitched slightly, "Aren't you being a bit too deliberate? I've never seen you this formal at a ball before."
"What do you know?" Jeans tied his tie in front of the mirror and smiled meaningfully, "If I were to look disheveled, then young master would be considered to have lost with honor."
But if I'm too impeccably groomed, the young master will think we haven't taken his running away from home seriously enough, and that we can effectively stop this bad trend."
"Are you sure? I think it's better if Shen thinks about it carefully." Anna rolled her eyes. "Based on what I know about the young master, he might take this as a provocation, and he might escalate it in the future."
Upon hearing this, Jeans ' hands trembled slightly, and he accidentally tied a knot around his neck.
Indeed, Aaron was someone he had watched grow up. Although he seemed indifferent to everything, he actually had a stronger sense of self-esteem than anyone else.
If he were overly dignified and imposing, the young master might take it as a silent display of power.
If a ten-year-old goes through a rebellious phase and causes any more trouble, he'll probably be driven crazy.
After a few seconds of silence, Jeans sighed, loosened his tie, and changed into his usual clothes.
"I should be fine getting through this, right?"
Anna looked him over carefully, pondered for a moment, and then nodded.
"Do you need me to prepare flying gear? Or perhaps communication gear?"
"Let's stick with flying vehicles!" Jeans said with a smile. "To be honest, I can't wait to see the young master's expression when he sees me."
Anna left the Small Shop, and a few minutes later, she had a brand new Magic Broom in her hand.
"Isn't this... a bit too new?"
"I just bought it, remember to reimburse me."
Jeans was speechless at the mischievous smile on Anna's face. Normally, he would have given this ten-year-old witch a good talking-to.
Having plenty of money is no excuse for spending it recklessly. You already have one at home, but you still insist on buying a new one.
But finding the young master was the priority, so he couldn't bother disciplining his men. He gave Anna a wry smile, grabbed the Nimbus 2000, and quickly left the shop.
Once Diagon Alley, Jeans cast an Disillusionment Charm on himself, mounted his Magic Broom, and soared into the sky.
Meanwhile, at the Malfoy Manor.
Aaron sat on the Magic Carpet, watching with interest as Draco darted between the Quaffle and the Float below. Beside him were two empty lunchboxes and a Holy Dragon with a resentful look in its eyes.
Unlike yesterday, Aaron's training today was more rigorous and more fun.
He no longer attacks incessantly, nor does he strike precisely every five minutes. Instead, he strikes precisely with the Poké Ball just as Draco is about to catch the Golden Snitch.
However, just as Aaron picked up the bat, preparing to let Draco experience the feeling of winning slip through his hands again, he seemed to suddenly realize something, and his expression became unnatural.
"I caught it!" Draco shouted excitedly, the Golden Snitch in his hand gleaming golden in the sunlight.
Just a dozen seconds later, Draco awkwardly realized that he seemed to be the only one cheering. He turned his head and saw Aaron standing on the Magic Carpet, lost in thought.
"Aaron, what's wrong with you?"
"It's nothing," Aaron said with a forced smile, realizing what was going on. "Congratulations, you passed today."
"Stop joking."
Although I'm not as good as you, I can still tell whether someone's holding back or not. You clearly had a chance to stop me just now.
"Everyone makes mistakes in a game, and your opponent is no exception," Aaron said as he lowered the Magic Carpet. "Training is officially over. I hope you can become an excellent Seeker."
Draco frowned slightly. The words sounded perfectly reasonable, but something about them felt off.
Aaron walked into the hall and gave Abei a wink. Abe's expression turned serious, and he immediately ran towards the stairs.
"What's wrong? Why are you in such a hurry?"
"Happy times are always short-lived, I have to hurry up and go, no, I have to run."
After I leave, please thank Mr. Lucius hospitality today.
"What? You're leaving?" Draco asked in surprise. "That's so sudden! Did we fail to entertain you properly?"
"It has nothing to do with Malfoy, my family found me," Aaron said with a wry smile. "It's just that it happened much faster than I expected."
I originally thought I could at least hold them off for two days, but it seems I underestimated them.
A white shadow darted down the stairs, and Abei, with a Backpack in his mouth, placed it on the table.
Aaron quickly changed into his Magic Carpet and tossed it to Draco, saying, "Hurry up and fold it for me. We don't have much time left, probably less than an hour."
Draco, caught up in the tension, quickly folded the Magic Carpet into a square and stuffed it into his Backpack. "Wait, are you being too nervous?"
How did you know your family was following us?
Aaron quickly zipped up his Backpack and then rolled up his sleeves.
"This is..." Draco's eyes widened as he stared at the light green Magic Array flashing on Aaron's arm, somewhat bewildered.
"Just in case, I left a backup plan on the note I left for Jeans."
It's an extremely simple Magic Array. This magic rune is practically worthless; it only provides a warning when it gets close to another Magic Array of the same origin, just like it is now.
"You can do this too?"
"I don't think the school taught Magic Array, did they?"
"Um... I only know a little bit," Aaron said in a deep voice. "You should read more books when you have time!"
If you have some free time, go to the library more often; maybe you can learn this too.
"Hehe!
You really overestimate me. I haven't even mastered all the spells yet, how could I possibly have time to study another magic subject?
"But isn't this a bit too simple?"
"Can't your family see that there's something wrong with that piece of paper?"
"Under normal circumstances, it's impossible to hide it from anyone, even ordinary Warlock like us can spot the problem if we look closely."
However, I left the note with my great-uncle, who was too preoccupied with his worries to check if there was anything wrong with it.
When he finds Jeans, he'll definitely give him a good scolding first. At that point, Jeans probably won't be in the mood to check the note.
Moreover, the Magic Array I left behind is a one-time use one; its effect lasts for a maximum of two days, and it will gradually weaken. At first, no one will notice anything wrong, and later, they'll have even less reason to suspect anything.
Draco shrugged, then gave Aaron a thumbs up. "They're so lucky to have a young master like you."
"Haha! I'll take that as a compliment." Aaron chuckled sheepishly. "By the way, do you have any paper? I was planning to leave him another note."
Draco immediately became interested. "Want to do this again?"
"Of course not. This move is only a little tricky the first time; it's meaningless the second time."
"Wait a mininute."
Draco quickly went upstairs, took out a piece of paper and a feather pen from a drawer.
After Aaron took it, he wrote a character on the paper without any hesitation, and then placed a cup on top of it.
Draco walked closer and, looking on in surprise, turned his face away. "Isn't that a bit mean?"
"There's nothing I can do. My opponent is too shrewd. I can only try to influence his emotions." Aaron said, slinging his backpack over his shoulder and walking towards the door.
"It's too dangerous for you to just walk like this. What if you run into him on the way?" Draco said with some concern. "Why don't you just hide at my house?"
