Fight for the King, Capture the King to Capture the Enemy
As the horns sounded, a golden bell smashed through the gates of Erebor's city wall, Thorin led twelve dwarves in a fierce battle to break out of the battlefield.
After Thorin recaptured Lonely Mountain, he became the king of the dwarves, and their morale soared instantly. Fighting alongside their king was an honor even if it meant sacrificing their lives, and the soldiers made way for them.
"For the King! For the King!" Dain shouted as he followed Thorin, and his Ironfoot Army charged forward fearlessly.
The dwarves, with high morale, charged straight into the orc army in a spear formation. Although the orcs outnumbered them, each dwarf showed no fear and fought bravely.
Bilbo, looking at the battlefield outside the River Valley City, called Gandalf with some surprise, "It's the dwarves, they've fought back!"
"They fight for the King." Gandalf was also deeply gratified. Thorin had finally gotten over his greed. With the King himself on the battlefield, the soldiers were naturally in high spirits.
The Thought Form teleported to the two of them, saying, "This advantage is only temporary; there are too many orcs."
"Where have you been?" Bilbo asked.
"I helped Bain take the elderly, women and children from Long Lake to the church, and also set up an Illusion Magic there. It took me quite a bit of time."
"Illusion Magic?" Gandalf paused, "Was that me on the Ice Dragon also Illusion Magic?"
"Otherwise what?" The Thought Form shrugged, ignoring the black lines on Gandalf's face. "I just had him say a few words and he boosted morale."
Upon hearing this, Gandalf nearly coughed up blood.
But he couldn't say anything bad about Aaron, at least Aaron was very clear on matters of right and wrong.
"Oh right, I almost forgot if you hadn't mentioned it." The Thought Form looked at Gandalf somewhat embarrassedly. "What Illusion said before was that we would launch a counterattack immediately, and now is the time."
Gandalf's eyes twitched slightly. He knew what Aaron meant. He wanted to stop him, but the words on his lips turned into a silent sigh.
Do whatever you want!
My old face is still worth something.
"Great." The Thought Form gave a thumbs up, then severed the connection with the main body.
Aaron finished playing a BGM exclusive to dwarves and was just about to leave the city to help when he received a message from the Thought Form.
He looked up at the Ice Dragon that had torn a giant beast in two, silently apologized to Gandalf, and then conjured up Gandalf's illusion and stood on the Ice Dragon's back.
The battered Ice Dragon roared to the sky and flew from a more remote part of the battlefield above Erebor.
Gandalf loudly proclaimed that the horn of retaliation had been sounded, calling on everyone to take up arms, slay the evil orcs, and defend their homeland.
After shouting, the illusion disappeared again, but the Ice Dragon did not leave. Instead, it spread its tattered wings, revealing a body length of more than ten meters, and charged rapidly towards a half-orc army below.
The violent impact, accompanied by the screams of countless orcs, echoed across the battlefield.
Several orcs were crushed into mincemeat, and the Ice Dragon was also completely overwhelmed, turning into ice blocks of various sizes.
At the same time, the townspeople of Long Lake Town had just repelled a wave of orcs, heard Gandalf's voice and were greatly encouraged. They all looked at their leader, Bard.
Whether to fight or not is up to you, but of course we are inclined to fight.
Bard knew that this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and he immediately made up his mind.
"Those who are willing to fight to the bitter end, come with me."
The people of Long Lake immediately followed suit, this time taking the initiative and engaging the orc army in a fierce battle in the alleyways.
The elderly, women, and children in the church also picked up weapons and farm tools, ready to live and die with their families. Even Tilda, who was not ten years old, stood up.
Only Alfred was too timid to go to the battlefield, so he disguised himself as an old woman.
However, his act was so convincing that it was easily discovered by others.
They ignored the coward, giving him disdainful looks before calmly walking out of the Illusion Magic's range.
Gandalf, who was fighting the orcs, noticed that the townspeople were fighting back and even showed signs of driving the orcs out of River Valley City. He murmured in surprise, "Maybe we can actually win."
"That's right," the Thought Form joked. "You've staked your reputation on this, we can't lose."
Gandalf:...
Look at this, is this even human language?
On the battlefield outside the city, with the king's addition, the dwarves were able to barely hold their own against an orc army several times their size, and the thirteen dwarves of the expedition team fully demonstrated their combat prowess.
With their combined efforts, the group could even take down the siege beast in a short time. Bombur, with his size advantage, took down several orcs like a human bomb. However, after being crushed by Mount Tai, he needed his companions' help to stand up.
At this moment, another giant beast controlled by a half-orc swung its flail and frantically reaped the dwarf warriors. Seeing this, Aaron quickly threw a Severing Charm spell, killing the half-orc on its back.
He then jumped onto the back of the giant beast and used it to inflict devastating damage on the surrounding orcs.
During the battle, Dáin encountered his cousin, who helped him take down several orc soldiers. "Hey bro, what took you so long to get here?"
Thorin didn't explain, but simply resolved all the doubts with a big hug.
"There are too many ugly freaks here, Thorin. Hopefully you have a winning formula."
Thorin looked at Ravenhill in the distance and immediately had a plan. "Alright, let's capture the leader first."
"Azog." Dáin suddenly realized, "No, Thorin, you are the king. If something unexpected happens, we will instantly lose our fighting spirit."
"No one is more suitable than me, Dáin." Thorin laughed heartily, then mounted a goat.
"But are you planning to go there alone?"
"If we don't reach Ravenhill, we'll be intercepted by Orcs."
No sooner had he finished speaking than Fili, Kili, and Dwalin followed closely behind in a large war chariot built by the dwarves, pulled by several powerful goats, ensuring its power.
"I haven't driven one of these in a while." Balin was excited but also a little nervous, after all, he meant at least several dozen cubic meters of it in a while.
"Gaius!" Thorin shouted on the battlefield.
Hearing the voice, Aaron steered his giant beast over. "What do you need?"
"I plan to kill Azog, and I need your help."
Aaron pondered for a moment, "This is indeed the fastest way to win this battle, but it's extremely dangerous. We'd have to fight our way from the foot of the mountain to the summit, so..."
"So what?"
"I need a price. I need payment, gems," Aaron said bluntly. "This is what I promised Thranduil."
"No problem. The elves have made too many sacrifices for this battle, and they deserve it."
"Then the contract is complete." Aaron chuckled and jumped onto the dwarf's chariot.
"Charge! To Ravenhill!"
"Everyone, hold on tight."
"You bunch of crazy bastards," Dáin said, shaking his head. "I like it."
On the chariot, Kili used the high-speed rotating hub to grind and charge into the enemy ranks, while Dwalin continuously fired crossbow bolts to clear obstacles in front of Thorin.
The chariot became a reaper, scattering orc limbs and torsos everywhere it went.
Azog noticed them and immediately ordered a wave of Ogre to intercept them. The giant beasts, wielding clubs, charged menacingly at the chariots.
"Leave it to me, the Dragon's... roar." Aaron took a deep breath and opened his mouth to spew out a fierce burst of Dragon Fire.
The flames completely engulfed the six Ogre that charged forward, leaving behind six perfectly charred corpses. The chariot then crushed them without any hindrance.
"That's amazing!" Kili shouted excitedly. "Your Juxing can even breathe fire!"
"Keep it low-key, keep it low-key. I don't want too many people to know about this ability." Aaron waved his hand sheepishly, indicating that this was just a basic operation.
At this moment, another giant beast clad in armor attacked them fiercely. Balin immediately turned around and narrowly dodged the axe in the beast's hand, but the chariot was forced into the frozen riverbed.
In a hurry, Dwalin loaded the chariot with a gun and a box of crossbow bolts, but the ferocious beast still relentlessly pursued them.
He roared and jumped into the river, chasing wildly, the ice behind the chariot constantly cracking.
"Damn it!" Aaron decisively drew his Wand. "Sectumsempra."
A pale blue light shone on the giant beast, and its body instantly shattered, leaving several fragments of armor on the broken ice surface.
"That's way too exaggerated!" Fili laughed loudly.
"I still think fire-breathing is more powerful," Kili said.
"My magic is limited; I should be content with what I've accomplished."
"Guys, look ahead, we need to figure out how to take them down," Balin warned.
The others looked ahead and saw a giant beast carrying a wooden bridge to ferry more than ten orcs across the river. The ice in front of them had been damaged by the beast, and a large section of the road had turned into icy water.
"I'll do it." Aaron volunteered. He first killed the giant beast with a Four-Five-Crack Spell, then used Transfiguration to pave the way for the chariot. As for the orcs on the wooden bridge, they were shot down one by one by Dwalin with crossbow bolts.
Just as the group escaped danger, they were suddenly attacked by dire Warg. Before they could react, two of the running goats were dragged away and became the Warg ' lunch.
At the same time, two Warg riders arrived from the front and rear of the chariot and launched an attack. Dwalin shot one dead, while the orc behind was killed by Kili. During this time, a goat was also carried away by Warg.
The number of goats has been reduced by half, and their speed has also decreased by half, but a Warg is still closing in from behind.
"You go first, I'll stay behind to cover the rear," Balin said. "You'll be faster riding the goats."
"Can you hold them off by yourself?" Aaron asked with some concern. "There aren't just Warg here, there are Warg riders too."
"Leave me the crossbow bolts. I am a warrior after all." Balin shrugged. "Although I'm a bit old, they can't kill me."
Thorin needs help, and we won't be able to reach Ravenhill in time if we don't abandon the chariots.
"I understand." Aaron nodded and cast an Iron Armor Charm on Dwalin. "It might save you in a critical moment."
