One Against Three-Leave a Dragon Some Room
"The Aguamenti."
Phoebe instinctively used her most effective spell, and a thick jet of water shot out from her Wand, extinguishing the flames.
Before she could even catch her breath, a roar reached her ears.
A huge claw landed in front of her, shaking the ground and creating spiderweb-like cracks. When she looked up, she saw a pair of cold, amused vertical pupils.
"Stupefy!"
A red spell shot out from area three, hitting the nostrils of the Swedish Short-Snout.
The Swedish Short-Snout turned its head and roared angrily, but made no other move, as if it were just a warning.
But Aaron's expression changed drastically as soon as he arrived. He could understand the meaning of that roar: How long are you going to sleep?
At the same time, its tail swept across the head of the Welsh Green Dragon.
A muffled thud made everyone's heart skip a beat.
The Welsh Green Dragon opened its eyes and casually stretched its enormous green body.
Seeing this, Phoebe turned pale, knowing that all her previous efforts had been in vain.
Whether she wants to admit it or not, the outcome is already a foregone conclusion: four against two, or even five against two.
The Welsh Green Dragon glanced at the human before it, a hint of disdain flashing in its eyes. It was the dragon that least wanted to cause trouble, and Warlock and the like could be ignored as long as they didn't provoke it.
"Keep an eye on your Dragon Egg." The Swedish Short-Snout Dragon snorted, then looked at area three, its nostrils twitching slightly as it breathed flames at an open space.
I met someone with a relatively high IQ.
Aaron cursed inwardly, quickly dodging the flames and simultaneously dispelling the Disillusionment Charm on his body.
Now that we've been discovered, there's no need to continue hiding. Maintaining the Disillusionment Charm also consumes Magical Energy.
As he was forced to reveal himself, the Hungarian Horntail Dragon and the Chinese Fireball realized they had been tricked and immediately spread their wings and flew over.
They thought the contestants wouldn't be able to leave the designated area without getting the Golden Egg, but it seems they were overthinking it. The Warlock who provoked them had already run away, and they were just practicing their lung capacity in front of the field.
"Sigh! I miscalculated this time." Aaron scratched his head helplessly, then looked at Phoebe. "Miss Delacour, I really didn't expect you to be the last one."
"I didn't expect this either; there were just too many unexpected events." Phoebe forced herself to calm down. "Now is not the time for idle talk. If we don't want to die, we have no choice but to cooperate."
"You're right." Aaron waved his wand and cast an Iron Armor Charm Wand Phoebe. "I'll take care of the Tree Peak Dragon, the Swedish Short-Snout, and the Chinese Fireball. As for the Welsh Green Dragon, you'll have to handle it yourself due to the rules."
"Okay... wait, what did you say?"
"It's what you think it means." Aaron gave a bitter laugh. "You'd better be quick. Holding off the three-headed Dragon without being able to hide is a lot of pressure for me."
"You..."
"Stop talking nonsense, do as I say." Aaron interrupted Phoebe, then pointed Wand wand at a rock in the enclosure and used Transfiguration to transform it into a Longsword and a shield.
Even fourth-year Warlock in the Department of Transfiguration could master this level of magic, so he wasn't worried that it would be too shocking.
"Gaius conjured a sword and shield, it looks like he's going to fight the three-headed dragon," Ludo Bagman explained. "While I personally think it's quite gentlemanly, I must say it's incredibly irrational."
Dumbledore looked at Adrian, whose smile was growing ever wider, and was extremely puzzled. "Miss Klein, you don't seem worried at all."
"I just wanted to see how he's grown over the years, but I didn't expect that he's still hiding things now."
He couldn't even conjure up some of the magic I knew, let alone the magic I didn't know.
"That's not a point!" Maxime frowned. "Every Warlock has their own secrets, and it's only natural that they possess some knowledge beyond what's in textbooks."
The problem is that he is now facing three ferocious Dragon, and he absolutely cannot handle them with just a sword and shield.
"He's not Godric Gryffindor. He's only fourteen. How good can his dueling skills be?" Karkaroff said dismissively.
"I know my brother well," Adrian said calmly. "Since he dared to agree to my request to stay and clear the game, he must have a certain level of confidence."
He must have considered the worst-case scenario before the competition: all four other Champion would pass the level, leaving him the only one left on the field.
However, he has already convinced the Antipodean Opaleye that the worst-case scenario is only one to four, and currently it's only one to three.
"So that's how it is." Dumbledore nodded in realization, then suddenly seemed to realize something and opened his mouth in astonishment, "You mean you let him pass the First Task last?"
Maxime and Karkaroff also turned to look at the incredibly young referee, wondering why she was doing this.
Even if you are fair and just, it would be one thing if you didn't use your position to provide some convenience for your younger brother, but there's no need to play this cruel game!
"I had no other choice but to do this!"
There are some things I can't ignore, and I can't be biased, so I can only try to make him realize the difficulty and back down.
Judging from his current performance, he's probably going to fight to the bitter end. But that's alright; fulfilling my request won't be easy, so let's see his current strength.
The crowd exchanged glances, remained silent for a moment, and then turned their attention to the arena.
Aaron looked at the Hungarian Horntail Dragon, the Chinese Fireball, and the Swedish Short-Snout Dragon surrounding him and couldn't help but chuckle awkwardly. "Perhaps this is a misunderstanding. We can sit down and talk calmly."
However, just as he expected, the three Dragon showed absolutely no intention of negotiating.
They were both furious and wanted nothing more than to tear the two humans in the enclosure apart.
The Chinese Fireball made the first move, spewing mushroom-shaped fireballs from its nostrils. The crimson flames surged downwards with tremendous force.
Aaron immediately sprinted away, running at top speed to escape the range of the Dragon Fire.
Just then, a giant claw covered in black scales reached out to grab him. Aaron's expression turned serious. He slid over to avoid the attack of the Tree Peak Dragon and continued running forward.
The next moment, the Tree Peak Dragon's tail lashed out, its dense, bronze spikes blocking all his paths of advance like a rolling mountain of knives.
Aaron cursed, and as the mongoose swept its tail across the treetop, it leaped high into the air, then pressed its shield under the mongoose's body and slid over the treetop's tail.
After dodging the tail whip, what came towards him was a dazzling blue flame. Aaron immediately threw his shield out and, taking advantage of the gap when it blocked the flame, climbed onto the back of the tree-peak dragon, using his Longsword to hold the Dragon Scale in place so that he wouldn't fall off.
A burst of enthusiastic cheers erupted from the audience, with Slytherin chanting Aaron Gaius's name wildly, and many even spontaneously unfurling banners.
Even those in the referee's seat who hadn't been watching Aaron instantly shut up. They had initially thought he was just a nepotism hire, but his Dragon Language, Iron Armor Charm, and Disillusionment Charm all proved his abilities. Moreover, he could handle being attacked by three giant dragons with ease, something almost no one else in their knowledge could do.
Tree Peak Dragon noticed that Aaron had jumped onto its back, and immediately roared to the sky, flying high into the air and spinning 360 degrees.
Aaron clung tightly to the Longsword, but he couldn't hold on for long before he was thrown off and fell from the sky.
The audience gasped, some even turning their heads away, unable to bear watching the next scene.
"Arresto Momentum".
During the fall, Aaron calmly drew his Wand and cast the spell on himself to ensure a safe landing.
He has participated in countless extreme training sessions, and he has experienced earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, avalanches, and free falls. He has the ability to control the situation.
"Wow!" Ludo Bagman exclaimed incoherently, "Gaius adjusted his position in mid-air and began to descend steadily."
Dumbledore raised an eyebrow. He had used this spell once before in the last Quidditch Match to save Harry Potter, but he hadn't expected Aaron to have learned it as well.
"Oh no, the situation hasn't improved; all three Dragon are watching him," Ludo Bagman said anxiously. "If there's no other way, Gaius will have to face..."
"This is bad," Maxime suddenly said. "That three-headed dragon won't let this opportunity pass."
Both the Chinese Fireball and the Swedish Short-Snout flew into the sky, their Dragon Fire poised to burst forth.
At the same time, Tree Peak Dragon also swooped down, found Aaron's landing point, and chased after him.
"Gaius won't die, will he?" Karkaroff wanted to laugh, but seeing Adrian's calm expression, he couldn't quite manage a smile.
"Won't."
"Miss Klein, this is no joke," Dumbledore said hastily. "If necessary, I suggest that the dragon trainers be organized immediately for a rescue."
Adrian shrugged and placed Abei on the table. "You'll understand when you see it?"
Dumbledore paused for a moment, then turned to look at Abei, who was munching on half a pineapple and waving his arms and cheering. His heart immediately settled down.
If Aaron really couldn't handle this situation, he definitely wouldn't be so calm, given that he's always kept pets.
"Now we just need to see how he performs," Adrian said smugly. "We've waited so long for this moment, I don't believe he can keep hiding any longer."
The three-headed Dragon seemed to have reached some kind of agreement, and the moment Aaron landed, it opened its mouth.
Their necks turned slightly red, and red and blue flames quickly surged up their throats.
"Holy crap!" Aaron noticed this scene and his expression changed drastically. He immediately looked up and shouted in the Dragon Language, "Don't force me, dragon! Leave a way out for us, so we can meet again in the future!"
However, it was of no use. The blue and red flames mixed together, forming a dazzling giant pillar of fire, which roared down like a meteor with an aura of destruction.
The red and blue pillars of fire fell to the ground, and the terrifying temperature turned the area into scorched earth, with sand and gravel sizzling and turning into a sticky paste.
"Alas! Things really don't go as planned!" Aaron sighed resignedly. He did nothing, did not use any magic, and simply stood there to receive the baptism of flames.
