Sirius Black's Soul: You Don't Want the Black Family to Die Out, Do You?
Professor Snape took a moment to calm himself down. "I used to think Dumbledore was making a mountain out of a molehill, but now I realize I was being naive."
"Uh... Professor, that was just a battle at the level of consciousness. In the Reality Stone world, I can't beat Voldemort."
"But at least I see hope."
Professor Snape raised the corners of his mouth slightly, revealing a relaxed smile.
He had always been skeptical of Dumbledore's plan because it was not guaranteed to succeed and was very risky, but Aaron showed him another possibility: to defeat the Dark Lord head-on.
The reason why the battle between the Phoenix Society and the Death Eater lasted so long was mainly because Dumbledore and Voldemort, the two leaders, were evenly matched.
In other words, this situation is unlikely to change much before the White Lord decide their victor.
"Professor, I think you may have misunderstood something," Aaron said with a strange expression. "Under normal circumstances, it would take me decades to reach that level."
In reality, neither Voldemort nor Dumbledore would give me that much time.
We could have negotiated a longer-term solution, but Dumbledore; he didn't even give me a year-long truce.
Upon hearing this, Professor Snape paused for a moment.
It felt like a breath was stuck in my throat, unable to come up or go down, causing a feeling of suffocation.
"Professor, I'm showing you this for no other reason than to let you know that I won't be a pawn on the chessboard." Aaron calmly poured himself a cup of tea, ignoring Professor Snape's complicated expression. "I've also considered the possibility that I might stand against Voldemort, and I've made many preparations for that."
After all, I offended him back in first grade, and I don't think the Dark Lord would be so forgiving as to forget those things, but that doesn't mean I'm willing to be pushed around like that.
Snape was silent for a moment, then nodded slightly. "I saw something just now. I will keep it a secret. This memory will remain in my brain, and no one will be able to see it."
"I'm very satisfied with your attitude," Aaron said with a smile.
"Would you like me to pass on a message to Dumbledore?" Professor Snape asked tentatively.
"No need," Aaron waved his hand. "I will have an open and honest talk with our principal when the time is right."
He dug me a hole I can't climb out of this time; I should at least pay some price!
Hearing this, Snape's eyes lit up slightly. "I personally support your decision with both hands, but I still hope you can listen to his opinion, and if possible... try to protect Harry Potter."
"Tsk! Professor, I know you used to have feelings for his mother."
But his mother has been dead for so many years, it's about time you let it go!
"This is what I owe her," Professor Snape said in a deep voice, "And it is also what I ask of you."
"I'll think about it, but do you know how much you value Harry?"
Snape paused for a moment, then said calmly, "He doesn't need to know."
Aaron rolled his eyes, silently complaining to himself.
What's wrong with being arrogant? Look how open and honest he is. Every time he can point his finger at Mr. Potter and scold him, he still makes Mr. Potter humbly accept it.
Divine Thunder Hall.
Having learned the whole story, Aaron returned to the Secret Chamber.
The Thought Form rolled its eyes at the original body, then took out an ice coffin emanating a chilling aura from the Costume Change Space.
"Here's what you wanted."
"Uh... I only need the corpse, there's no need to bring the coffin."
"Of course I know," the Thought Form said silently. "This coffin was crafted by me using an ice-attribute Magic Array, and then I added a rune to enhance its preservative effect, ensuring that this corpse will not decompose in a short period of time."
"You've worked hard, didn't you give anything away?"
"Don't worry at all. I personally took charge. What flaws could there be?" the Thought Form said with a hint of pride. "I used Captain Jack's Compass to find the Black family cemetery. I used Illusion Magic magic to cover the cemetery so that the Shadow Ninja could dig out Sirius Black's body. Then I used magic to restore it to its original state. Even the grass next to the tombstone wasn't bent over."
To ensure everything went perfectly, I even went to the hospital morgue and used Transfiguration to turn a corpse into Sirius Black, and gave him the same clothes, even the smell was exactly the same.
Unless a professional Warlock personally examines the body, there's no way to find a single flaw.
Aaron gave the Thought Form a thumbs up, "That's me for you."
"Grave raiding is quite exciting," the Thought Form said sheepishly. "I initially thought it would take more effort, but Sirius Black's burial was more rushed than I expected, and the funeral was hardly dignified."
"After all, the Phoenix Society is still very busy." Aaron sighed, then went to the coffin and used Illusion Magic to cover it and the Thought Form together, and concealed most of the power of the Divine Thunder Hall, making it look much more ordinary.
After that, he took out the glass ball that contained Sirius Black's Soul Stone and smashed it hard on the ground.
Click!
The glass ball shattered instantly, and a grayish-white wisp of smoke drifted out, forming a human figure.
Sirius Black opened his eyes groggily. He looked in surprise at the somewhat desolate hall in front of him, and then sensed the state of his own Soul Stone.
"Is this how it is in the world of the dead? I wonder if I'll ever see James?"
"I guess it's not possible." Aaron's voice sounded behind him.
"You?" Sirius Black stared wide-eyed at Aaron. "Gaius, you're dead too?"
"That shouldn't be! Dumbledore said he would protect you."
"So should I thank him?" Aaron sneered.
Sirius Black also noticed a significant difference in their physical states. Apart from his body no longer being grayish-white, he was practically indistinguishable from Ghost, while Aaron truly possessed a physical body.
"You... you're not dead?" Sirius Black's eyes widened even more.
"Thanks to the Phoenix Society, I am still alive."
"So I've... become Ghost?"
"That doesn't make sense, I'm not Ghost now!"
"You're not Ghost anymore, you're Soul Stone," Aaron said mysteriously. "A living Soul Stone."
"That's no joke at all." Sirius Black casually shrugged. "I'm dead. I was hit by my sister's Killing Curse. Where would I get a living Soul Stone?"
"What if I had extracted your Soul Stone the instant you were struck by the Killing Curse?"
Sirius Black paused, then raised his voice in surprise, "What did you say?"
"It's just like you think," Aaron said casually. "You're not Ghost now, and you're not completely dead either, but you're not much better off."
Gollum!
Sirius Black swallowed hard. "The Gaius family really teaches everything, huh?"
The spell to extract the Soul Stone is, in some ways, even more extreme than the Imperius Curse.
"My family didn't teach me this; I'm self-taught."
Furthermore, you should treat your savior with more respect.
"You might as well let me die a quick death!" Sirius Black said, on the verge of tears. "My physical body must have fallen into the Veil, and now I'm just a wandering ghost."
"Yes, but it can also not be."
"What do you mean? You don't mean you want me to find a corpse to fuse with, do you?" Sirius Black frowned deeply. "I'd rather be scattered to the winds than do that."
"Hiss... Reincarnation." Aaron gasped. "How come I didn't think of that?"
"Ahem! Don't worry, I'm not that tasteless."
I've retrieved your body as well.
"Hmm?" Sirius Black was surprised for a moment, then murmured in disbelief, "This is impossible. I know a little about the Veil. No stranger can enter it."
"That's absolutely right. I went through a lot of trouble to snatch you back from the clutches of Death God." Aaron said, dispelling the Illusion Magic, and the crystal coffin was revealed to Sirius Black.
He looked at the corpse in the coffin, his heart filled with mixed emotions, his expression complex. "Why did you save me?"
"Does it count as seeking personal gain?" Aaron chuckled wryly. "Many people, including Dumbledore, believe you're dead. If they knew you weren't..."
"You want me to change my genitals?" Sirius Black frowned.
Aaron nodded noncommittally. "A core member of the Order of the Phoenix, the last of the Black family, Harry Potter's the Chosen One, and so on. These identities can bring me great benefits."
"You really are Slytherin!"
We've got some connections, so could you...?
"No." Aaron interrupted her without hesitation, his attitude very firm. "We don't have much of a relationship, and you're not worth me saving your life."
And ever since you tricked me last night, my already limited affection for Order of the Phoenix has plummeted.
"What are you talking about?" Sirius Black forced an awkward smile. "We saved you just in time last night!"
"The current Phoenix Sentiment has plummeted to negative numbers." Aaron gave him a disdainful look. "To be honest, I admire those Order of the Phoenix members who sacrificed themselves for peace, but I can't tolerate you plotting against me."
"Don't try to play dumb. Professor Snape has told me everything."
Sirius Black tried to explain, but Aaron shut him down with a single sentence.
"Severus? I knew that guy was unreliable."
"It was Dumbledore's tacit approval. After all, I've already been dragged into this, and it would be hypocritical to keep it a secret any longer."
Sirius Black:...
This is really awkward, I'm not quite dead yet!
"What do you want?" Sirius Black asked helplessly. "But first, I'm still a wanted criminal, so I can't give you much."
"Tsk tsk tsk! What's the most important thing in interpersonal relationships?"
Sincerity? I'm very dissatisfied with your sincerity.
"But it's true." Sirius Black was speechless. "If Harry hadn't gone to the Department of Mysteries, I probably wouldn't have been able to get out of Grimmauld Place."
"Of course I know, what I want is your attitude," Aaron said confidently. "It's not that you can't give me much, but that you have to do your best to give me as much as you can."
"So?"
"I want 90% of all the wealth accumulated by the Black family over generations, including but not limited to all kinds of materials, magic books, real estate, and so on."
"What?" Sirius Black stared at Aaron in disbelief, taking a few seconds to recover. "Although I don't really care about those things, I know what ninety percent means."
Gaius, you're still young; such greed won't do you any good.
Forget it! I deserve it.
Your life is in my hands, and you are the last member of the Black family. In other words, the rise and fall of the entire Pure-blood Black family is in my hands.
I know you don't have much of a concept of family, but you don't want the Black family, which has been passed down for thousands of years, to die out in your hands, do you?
"If I were to die, that would be one thing, but right now, the chance to live is right in front of me."
Upon hearing this, Sirius Black fell silent.
He had to admit that Aaron's words made a lot of sense; having experienced death once, he seemed to have seen through many things.
Although the Black family didn't give him many beautiful memories, he was, after all, the only bloodline of the Black family, and the continuation of that lineage was his inescapable responsibility.
And putting aside one thing, who would want to die if they could live?
"Alright, it's 90% done, I agree."
"Very well, I knew you would make the right choice."
"Then how do I revive?" Sirius Black asked. "Do I just go back into my body?"
"I'm afraid that won't work. Although I extracted your Soul Stone in time, your body is indeed under the Killing Curse." Aaron glanced at the icy coffin. "If your Soul Stone were to return to your body now, the fusion of a living Soul Stone and a dead body would very likely leave you in a vegetative state."
You might not understand this term, but in Muggle terms, a vegetative state means you live like a tree, but remain in a coma.
"Are you fucking kidding me? What's the difference between that and being dead?"
"It has breathing, body temperature, heartbeat, and the possibility of experiencing the beauty of the world again."
Sirius Black's face twitched violently, which meant he was currently in Soul Stone state; otherwise, he would have been able to easily slap him.
"Okay, I'm not kidding anymore," Aaron teased. "This problem is nothing to me. I can cure you by slowly extracting the Killing Curse from your body."
How long will it take?
"Wait until I graduate." Aaron revealed an innocent smile, casually uttering words that sent a thunderbolt through Sirius Black.
"Can I take that to mean I have to wait for you for two years?"
"That's right."
"Heh, go to hell."
Two years is a long time; the Order of the Phoenix and the Death Eater might have already finished their battle.
"Duo'er, after you revive, you can just pick up the spoils, a perfect way to avoid battle!"
"What do you know?" Sirius Black cursed. "You know your comrades are out there risking their lives, and you can't do anything about it. Do you know that kind of torment?"
"So that's why you hung up!" Aaron said dismissively. "Besides, please understand your situation. You didn't have a choice at all."
Sirius Black's tone hardened, but his attitude softened. "You're right, two years it is!"
I've been in Azkaban for twelve years; I have plenty of experience with patience. But I need to go let Harry know I'm safe. He must be heartbroken.
"No." Aaron refused outright.
"Why is that?" Sirius Black's temper flared up. He could tolerate everything else, but Harry was his bottom line. He couldn't stand watching him suffer without doing anything.
