Sending Gandalf to Collect the Debt, Sirius's Arrangements Before His Death
Under Phineas's witness, Sirius Black signed a formal and valid property transfer agreement.
Aaron put away the agreement with satisfaction, then skillfully took out a piece of parchment. "Here, sign this confidentiality agreement. You cannot reveal anything that happened here to anyone in any way. And for the next two days, you will provide me with information about Dumbledore's actions from time to time."
Phineas hesitated for a moment, "How do I sign?"
"I currently have neither a physical body nor Soul Stone. Signing a contract like this, aren't you just making things difficult for me?"
"This is easy." Aaron casually drew the portrait on the parchment, and then the contract was slowly swallowed up by the portrait.
Phineas looked at the contract that appeared in his hand, smiled awkwardly, then picked up a quill and wrote his name. "Satisfied now?"
"It's alright, barely passable!"
"Then I'll head over now."
"Wait a moment," Aaron said hastily. "I almost forgot. I'll make a new blank portrait for you to use as a contact point. As for this portrait, I'll find a chance to put it back."
So... you'll soon feel another door appear; please don't be alarmed.
"Understood," Phineas said, then turned toward the frame.
Sirius Black chuckled and shook his head. "I really don't know if Dumbledore was right or wrong to drag you into this. You are more capable than we thought, but your abilities are a bit too much."
"Uh... thank you for the compliment, but this was just a desperate counterattack," Aaron said, sounding somewhat exhausted.
"How do you plan to transfer the Black family's wealth?" Sirius Black asked. "Logically, you could just give this agreement to the Goblin at Gringotts, and they would take care of everything on their own, as long as you pay them a certain fee. But I don't think you'd do this kind of thing yourself, right?"
"That's my own mind." The Thought Form entered, and as it stepped forward, it transformed into a tall, kind-looking old man with a long beard, and its white Wand turned into a long staff.
"This Transfiguration..." Sirius Black swallowed hard, "Isn't it a bit exaggerated?"
"This is Gandalf, a friend of mine who died a few years ago," Aaron introduced with some nostalgia. "He and Dumbledore were the same kind of people; they both loved to screw over their teammates."
However, I can assure you that neither the Phoenix Society, nor the Death Eater, nor even the entire Magic World know him. He..."
"I will pretend to be Sirius Black's best friend, go to Gringotts to complete the transfer of assets, and take back the gold and silver antiques at 12 Grimmauld Place. Of course, I will not touch the necessary things that should be left behind."
"I've thought of every reason I could come up with. Before you returned to Grimmauld Place, you found me and begged me to make you a keepsake after you die—a keepsake that is extremely important to Harry Potter, but you can't tell anyone."
"Resurrect Sirius Black Black?" Sirius Black said, somewhat heartbroken.
"That's right, this project requires a lot of money," Aaron said shrewdly. "As for whether anyone will have any doubts afterward?"
Gandalf's disguise would definitely lower anyone's guard, Voldemort wouldn't give them time to suspect anything, and most importantly, they wouldn't be able to find me.
"Hiss!" Sirius Black gasped. "You, you're really dark-skinned!"
"We're nowhere near as good as you guys," Aaron said, pursing his lips.
He might be calculating about money, but that's easy. If he could exchange ninety percent of his wealth for his life, no one would refuse.
But the Phoenix Society completely ensnared him without considering whether he wanted to or not.
In comparison, Aaron was almost moved by his own kindness; it's estimated that there's no one more compassionate than him in the entire Magic World.
Fearing that things might change if he waited too long, Aaron sent out his Thought Form the next day.
With the property transfer agreement, he successfully obtained 90% of the Black family's wealth accumulated over generations from the Goblin of Gringotts in the guise of ' Gandalf ', and then went to 12 Grimmauld Place.
At the time, the people left behind at the headquarters were Lupin, Moody, and a member of the Phoenix Society named Mundungus. They were shocked when they saw Gandalf, because the Phoenix Society was under a spell and no one could usually get in. How could they not feel uneasy about being suddenly barged in by a strange old man?
The three drew their Wand as fast as they could, but before they could use their magic, Gandalf raised his staff first, and a white light made them pause for a moment.
"Don't be nervous, I'm not your enemy." The Thought Form of ' Gandalf ' holding the pipe took a drag and exhaled a smoke ring with a satisfied air.
"Who are you?" Moody asked warily. "How do you know about this place?"
"Sirius Black sent me." A hint of sadness appeared on Gandalf's face. "It was during his lifetime, as for the proof..."
He hesitated for a moment, then handed the transfer agreement to Moody. "Take a look! I know you're Auror, you'll definitely understand it."
If you don't believe me, you can ask Phineas for confirmation; I have a bit of a relationship with him.
Moody's expression shifted between light and shadow, his demonic eyes scrutinizing Gandalf, yet he couldn't discern the slightest flaw.
Gandalf gave him a friendly smile, but inwardly he scoffed.
Illusion Magic, Transfiguration, plus the Light Element Magic circle that weakened the Magic Eye's effect, and the Ancient Runes runes on the Warlock's robe—four layers of buffs combined. If Moody could see through all of this, he'd be a complete charlatan.
"What is this?" Lupin asked.
"A property transfer agreement," Moody said hesitantly. "Sirius Black made a deal with him before he died."
"Gandalf, my name is Gandalf," the Thought Form said without blushing or panting.
"In the event of his unfortunate death, Mr. Gandalf shall have the right to dispose of ninety percent of the Black family's property, as well as all valuables at 12 Grimmauld Place, except for the house itself."
"What?" Lupin could even ask, Mundungus couldn't help but blurt out, "So all the gold and silver vessels and magical tools at headquarters belong to him?"
No, I can't accept that.
"If we sell these things, I—no, we—can definitely make a fortune."
Gandalf's lips twitched slightly; he never expected the Phoenix Society to have such talent.
Damn! Luckily we arrived early, otherwise this money might have slipped through our fingers.
Moody and Lupin frowned, their gazes towards Mundungus carrying a hint of disdain, but they didn't say anything. Their companion did have some sense of self-interest, though; he just liked to take advantage of others.
"That's the truth, you have to accept it whether you want to or not," Gandalf said calmly. "Sirius Black Black asked me to do something for Harry Potter, within two weeks of his death."
However, this matter cannot be accomplished without substantial financial support.
"Is it the real Alastor?" Lupin asked.
"This agreement is genuine, and it is guaranteed by Phineas."
Most importantly, Black specifically emphasized in this agreement that Gandalf Black as trustworthy as Dumbledore. "Moody said in a deep voice, then looked seriously at ' Gandalf,' " he asked you to do what?
"I have no comment, but you'll find out in two years if you live to see it."
"All I can say is that he made a killing on this deal." ' Gandalf ' said, pointing at Lupin. "You and Harry Potter will be eternally grateful to me."
"How do we know if you're making things up?" Mundungus said irritably. He was already planning to steal and sell the goods when suddenly someone showed up to rob him of his money. No wonder he was unhappy.
"I'm just doing what we agreed on." Gandalf took a drag of his cigarette with a hint of helplessness. "I know you don't really trust a stranger like me, so... you'll be in charge of collecting the assets."
All I ask for is the ability to exchange money, gold, silver, and treasures at Gringotts. As for other household items, pots, pans, and other similar items, you can decide for yourselves.
However, I have limited time and can only give you one hour.
"I'll go right away," Mundungus said immediately. He was unaware that there was no way he could argue against the agreement, but surely he could keep one or two things while packing!
"I'm sorry, I don't believe you." Gandalf shook his head, took out a gray cloth bag and handed it to Lupin. "This is a storage bag for the Undetectable Extension Charm. Please do this favor for this old man."
When he came to me, he made it clear that Moony would believe and understand Padfoot.
Lupin was initially hesitant, but upon hearing the nicknames "Moony" and "Padfoot," all his doubts vanished.
The fact that Sirius Black told Gandalf those two nicknames is enough to show that Sirius could be absolutely trusted.
In other words, this was Sirius Black's last mission for him before he died, and as his best friend, he had to do his best to complete it.
"Please wait a moment, I'll get right to it," Lupin said, then turned and left.
Mundungus watched as Lupin the gold and silver utensils into a cloth bag, his heart aching. "Uh... I'll go help him."
Gandalf looked at him meaningfully, his suspicious gaze making Mundungus feel guilty. He immediately added, "I just went to take a look and give you an estimate, nothing more. After all... we won't be able to see you again."
"Okay! But before that, could you take me to see Harry Potter's room?"
"Sure, no problem," Mundungus said, patting his chest. Just a few steps and he'd have a chance to line his own pocket—a sure-fire way to make money!
"Wait a minute." Moody looked at Gandalf warily. "What are you doing in Harry Potter's room?"
"It's just a simple matter." Gandalf put on a mysterious air and talked nonsense in a serious tone. "A person's room can reflect their personality. I want to know what kind of person Harry Potter is that he could make the last member of the Black family shamelessly ask me for help."
Moody's lips twitched slightly. "Is that really true?"
"If you don't believe me, you can come with me to see for yourself. If you still doubt that I will harm Harry Potter, you can change his accommodation."
Upon hearing this, Moody no longer doubted it, saying, "Perhaps I was overthinking it."
"I'll take you there."
Mundungus laughed, then led the way on his own.
The two arrived on the third floor, Mundungus led the Thought Form to the first room, saying, "This is it."
Gandalf smiled slightly, a purple glint flashing in his eyes, Mundungus was hypnotized without even realizing it.
The moment the door opened, he cast another Illusion Magic to conceal it. To Mundungus, the room looked exactly the same as before, and he enthusiastically described the few pieces of furniture in the room.
"That blank portrait is Phineas, isn't it?" Gandalf said, pointing to the blank wall.
Mundungus then pointed out the original location of the picture frame to him, "That's where Phineas would occasionally send us messages through this painting."
The Thought Form immediately took out the Phineas photo frame and, in front of Mundungus, hung it in the spot he pointed to. Then, it Silencio dispelled the hypnosis and Illusion Magic.
"Alright, I've seen it, we can go now."
"That's it?"
Is there anything interesting to see in this room?
"Uh... there really isn't anything," Mundungus said sheepishly, even with his professional eye he couldn't see anything of value in the room.
Gandalf, leaning on his staff, entered the living room on the first floor and sat down on the sofa, placing himself within Moody's line of sight.
Mundungus winked at Moody, then quickly rushed up the stairs to help Lupin organize the valuables in the house, while also keeping two not-so-precious collectibles for himself.
"Let me give you a piece of advice!" ' Gandalf ' puffed on his cigarette. "The guy who escorted me upstairs just now isn't very reliable."
"What did you say?"
"Your business is dangerous; a slight misstep could lead to utter ruin."
He can handle some trivial tasks, such as logistics, intelligence gathering, and message delivery, but he shouldn't be entrusted with important matters; otherwise, the consequences would be unpredictable.
Moody paused for a moment, then nodded silently.
Time passed by, and in less than an hour, Lupin Mundungus came over with storage bags.
"We've found all the valuable gold and silver artifacts here, and some are being House Elf, so we won't try to take them," Mundungus said somewhat resentfully. They had only obtained ordinary items; the most valuable souvenirs were with Kritter.
"It's alright, it's always better to be kinder to House Elf." Gandalf took the pouch and slowly stood up. "Here's another piece of advice: House Elf are no less powerful than Warlock, and they have the talent to do things that even Warlock can't."
After saying that, Gandalf turned and left. "I won't see you off, and don't follow me. You won't find me unless I want to."
The three watched him leave, and only after the door closed did Lupin and Mundungus look at Moody. "Perhaps I shouldn't ask, but what other advice did ' Gandalf ' give?"
Moody's:...
Should I say something? Wouldn't saying something affect unity?
