The Black and White Lords Come Calling, a Partnership They Aren't Qualified For
Aaron walked out of the castle gates and slowly made his way through the night.
But after walking a few steps, a figure emerged from the darkness— Lucius Malfoy.
"Uncle Lucius, I really didn't expect you to be the first one."
"You shouldn't have come out," Lucius said, pursing his lips, while secretly giving Aaron a wink: it's not too late to go back now.
Aaron raised an eyebrow and turned to look at the dark areas on both sides of the road. "Stop hiding. Now that I'm out, I'm not going back."
As soon as he finished speaking, groups of dark figures descended from the sky.
Dozens of Warlock dressed in black robes and wearing black hoods surrounded Aaron.
Barty Crouch Jr. licked his lips and walked up to Aaron. "Let's eat tonight!"
"It's you again?" Aaron clicked his tongue in amazement. "Your injury healed quickly, in less than a month!"
"It's all thanks to the Dark Lord's kindness," Barty Crouch Jr. said through gritted teeth. "You wronged me, and I'll make you pay double."
"Sorry, you probably can't do it," Aaron scoffed. If it weren't for Voldemort behind this guy, even ten more wouldn't be enough for him to handle.
"I really can't do it," Barty Crouch Jr. said sheepishly, "But we..."
"You can't do it either." Aaron didn't give him any face. "Where did you gather this rabble from? There are less than half the number of Archmage. You think you can stop me with this trash?"
"The Magic World has no shortage of Dark Wizard. They may be a little weak in terms of combat power, but they can still buy time." Barty Crouch Jr. said sarcastically, "I would have run for my life the moment you said that, instead of foolishly waiting for the Dark Lord to come."
As soon as he finished speaking, countless black particles condensed into a human figure under the moonlight, Voldemort slowly walked out holding his Wand.
He turned his head to look at the brightly lit Gaius Castle, then focused his gaze on Aaron. "It seems the Gaius family's ancestral precepts are still effective. They've probably reached their limit in protecting you for so long."
How does it feel to be kicked out of your home? Not bad, right?
"I've had even more unbearable experiences," Aaron said candidly. "Actually, I came out tonight to talk to you."
"You don't deserve to be kicked out of your home," Voldemort said coldly. "I don't want to kill you on your doorstep; that would probably leave a lasting shadow on your family."
So... if you obediently come with me, you might save your life.
"Then let's forget about it!" Aaron calmly took out his Wand. "This situation isn't serious enough for me to surrender."
"Let's do it!" Voldemort said without further ado. "If we can't make them alive, we can make them dead."
Barty Crouch Jr. gave a cold laugh, and together with the other Dark Wizard, raised their Wand, chanting, "Avada Kedavra..."
Just as Aaron was about to use the Rabbit Talisman's divine power to escape, a dazzling light struck Barty Crouch Jr., sending him flying backward and causing his Wand to slip from his grasp.
"Looks like my timing was perfect!" a voice came from the woods.
Aaron was stunned for a moment, feeling as if a million alpacas were galloping through his mind.
The situation is now even more complicated, but he would rather face the Dark Lord Dark Lord and his Death Eater than be caught between them, not to mention the shaky little brat. It's just too damn difficult.
However, tonight seems to be a coincidence, because in the past few days Jeans has only discovered these Dark Wizard, and has not found any other means of surveillance.
"Dumbledore." Voldemort looked at Dumbledore, who was slowly walking towards him, and Harry Potter, who was holding his left hand. His face twisted with anger. "You're ruining my plans again."
"I don't think this is a good thing, Tom," Dumbledore said calmly. "Besides, how can the headmaster of Hogwarts stand by and watch you kill my students?"
"Hypocrite," Voldemort said dismissively, "But I'll kill you along with the old man."
"That won't be easy." Dumbledore shrugged, flicked his Wand, and shoved Harry in front of Aaron. "Can you help me protect him?"
"Well... I'll try my best!" Aaron said reluctantly, then created the Seraphim's Shield, providing all-around protection for himself and Harry.
"This is quite a spectacle." Vico, observing the situation from inside the castle, sneered. "Two peak Archmage Peak dare to swagger around right in front of the Gaius Family."
This is a provocation from the Red Guards! Where do they get the guts?
"The Dark Lord deliberately set an ambush for the young master, and it's probably just a coincidence that the Dark Lord came," Jeans pondered. "Otherwise, he wouldn't have brought Harry Potter with him."
As expected, he's probably here to visit the Gaius family.
"That's no reason for him to duel on our doorstep," Tepler said calmly. "Since they dare to test us, let's give them a little shock!"
Jeans, go out for a bit. It would be too impolite if the guests couldn't even get in the door. You Dumbledore about that matter.
Oh, and bring Aaron in too. There are still two hours until midnight.
"Yes, sir," Jeans said with a smile, then vanished in Apparition.
"Clea, put your Wand away!" Tepler said with a gentle smile. "That kid is out of danger for now."
Clea smiled sullenly and put away the black Wand from her sleeve.
"You silly child." Lisana patted her head, but a hint of relief flashed in her eyes. "I told you not to go."
"Didn't I not go either?" Clea said, somewhat embarrassed.
"This will not be repeated."
Outside the castle, the battle between the Dark Lord and the Demon King is about to begin.
Dozens of Dark Wizard split into two groups. One group, led by Lucius, kept a close watch on Aaron and Harry inside the Seraphim's Shield, while the other group helped Voldemort besiege Dumbledore.
At this moment, a huge crimson Magic Array appeared beneath everyone's feet, containing immense energy that made Dumbledore and Voldemort feel a deep sense of dread.
You cannot fight them head-on; if you try to fight them head-on, you will definitely die.
The same thought crossed their minds at the same time, and they tacitly chose to stop.
"This... this is too much!" Aaron murmured in disbelief. "Who would bury Forbidden Magic in their own home?!"
"Young Master, you can rest assured. The offensive magic is only aimed at the enemy and will not damage a single plant or tree in our home." Jeans teleported in front of Aaron, and the moment he landed, several layers of Defense Magic Array the same level slowly rotated around Gaius Castle.
"Is Gaius going to break the ancestral teachings?" Voldemort asked warily.
"No." Jeans slowly shook his head. "We won't care how you dealt with the young master, but your duel with Dumbledore at the gates of the Gaius family is certainly something to ponder."
It could be provocation, a test, or even a warm-up before an attack; I'm just trying to discourage you from trying.
Voldemort:...
If it's a show of force, then so be it. Is it really necessary to be so unconventional?
"Mr. Jeans, please don't misunderstand." Dumbledore smiled kindly. "I've simply come to visit you, though it may seem a bit presumptuous."
"If you're just a guest..." Jeans gestured for you to come in.
"Harry Potter came with me," Dumbledore said hastily.
"No problem." Jeans nodded. "Young Master, you should come back too!"
"Wait, he can't leave, that's against your rules." Voldemort couldn't stand it anymore. He had sent out a large number of men just to capture Aaron today.
But you've protected him again with just one simple sentence. Doesn't that make all their hard work during this time a joke?
"In fact, the young master can stay at home for another two hours," Jeans explained patiently. "It is his freedom to come out early, but he can go home at any time within those two hours."
If the Dark Lord wants to attack the young master, he can wait another two hours.
"You..." Voldemort was speechless. He had already waited for so many days, he didn't care about waiting for two more hours, but the problem was that Dumbledore arrived.
Who knows if Aaron will be taken away by Dumbledore in two hours? He wasn't confident of defeating that old bastard. What if he failed at the last minute?
"Does the Dark Lord have any further questions?" Jeans asked.
"I... I'm also here as a guest," Voldemort said through gritted teeth, emphasizing each word.
"Is that so?" Jeans didn't care. "Then please come in, but forget about these Dark Wizard. If they dare to cross the gate, they'll regret it."
"Lucius, you come in with me, the rest of you stay put."
"Yes, Master."
Jeans led the way, Dumbledore led Harry Potter, Voldemort followed with Lucius Malfoy, and Aaron at the back was still buzzing in his head.
However, things can change unexpectedly, and what happened in those few minutes was truly bizarre.
But looking at it from another angle, it doesn't seem like a bad thing; in fact, it's a great thing for him!
Negotiation is a skill, and negotiating with Voldemort is a deadly skill.
But if Dumbledore is behind him, then he has the right to negotiate safely, and he is somewhat confident in his ability to leverage Dumbledore's influence.
Thinking this, Aaron's lips curled into a relaxed smile.
Felix Felicis is truly amazing; his luck is practically off the charts.
Upon entering the living room, Jeans arranged for the four to sit down, House Elf served tea.
A short while later, Vico Gaius, the current patriarch of the Gaius family, came down the stairs. As for Lisana, Clea, and Tepler, they consciously did not appear.
"Today is quite a special day!" Vico looked at Voldemort and Dumbledore with a forced smile. "The Dark Lord and the White Lord are visiting at the same time as my beloved son was kicked out of the house. Anyone who didn't know better would think you had planned this together."
"This is a misunderstanding," Dumbledore said.
"Yes, that's right, it's a misunderstanding," Lucius said, forcing himself to speak. Only he could say such things, after all, Voldemort had just been trying to kill Aaron a moment ago.
"I don't care if it's a misunderstanding or not," Vico said nonchalantly. "Since you're here as guests today, just state your purpose directly!"
"Cooperation." ×2.
Dumbledore and Voldemort said in unison.
"Heh!" Vico chuckled and shook his head. "You two should know about the Gaius family, right?"
"You've been stirring up trouble in the Magic World, and killing people is your own business, but if you want Hidden Family to enter the world... sorry, you're not qualified."
"But it concerns the safety of the Magic World!" Harry couldn't help but exclaim.
"First time meeting you, the Chosen One of the Magic World," Vico said dismissively. "But you're too weak right now. You have no right to talk about the safety of the Magic World with just a false title like Hua Tao."
"That's absolutely right," Voldemort sneered. "I can crush this ant anytime I want."
"Let's get back to the point! If this is why you've come, then there's no need to say anything more."
The door's over there. Goodbye, and don't bother seeing me out.
"First..."
"Shut up, Harry," Aaron interrupted Harry impatiently. "You have no idea what our family is responsible for. What you call the safety of the Magic World is nothing to Gaius."
For the Hidden Family to get involved, the Warlock would need to face annihilation or the Apocalypse, but Voldemort's plan clearly doesn't meet that requirement, at least not now.
"Alright, Harry, stop interrupting," Dumbledore said, then looked at Vico. "Normally I wouldn't come over, but Tom, no, Voldemort's situation is a bit special. I hope the Gaius family will consider this carefully."
"Special?" Vico looked Voldemort over with a meaningful gaze. "He is quite special. He probably learned some terrible Dark Magic to turn himself into this mess."
"This is for longevity," Voldemort said matter-of-factly. "Those Warlock who have lived for hundreds of years may not be as good as me. Their bodies are fragile, but I can maintain my peak condition for a long time."
"I can see that, but the price is a bit too high." Vico shook his head with a sigh, saying regretfully, "Ai'ai is a genius Warlock. Even if you had just followed the proper path to improve yourself, you could have become Holy Magus before you turned a hundred. But why did you have to choose such a narrow path!"
"Even Holy Magus die," Voldemort said dismissively. "Only gods can enjoy long lifespans."
"Gods can die too," Vico said.
"But once I become a god, I will become an immortal myth."
Upon hearing this, Vico was filled with disdain.
The genius Warlock, whose ambitions soared to the heavens but who had already narrowed his path, was destined for a bleak future.
"Vico Gaius, I hope you will be on my side," Voldemort said bluntly.
"Shameless!" Aaron scoffed. "You were just about to kill me!"
"If you cooperate obediently, nothing will happen. I'm quite lenient with Pure-blood wizard like you."
"Come on, are you going to use me as research material?"
Unless I feel that humanity is hopeless, that life is meaningless, and that living is worse than dying.
"You can't just say things like that." Vico rolled his eyes at him, then looked meaningfully at Voldemort. "Go on, tell me why you expect the Gaius family to be on your side?"
"I can restore the Gaius family to its former glory," Voldemort said confidently. "If you support me until I become a god, I promise to train a new god for the Gaius family."
As soon as he finished speaking, Vico and Aaron looked at each other, as if they could clearly see the disgust in each other's eyes.
It's confirmed; this guy definitely has that serious illness.
To reclaim past glories? Whom are you cursing? The Gaius family has never declined.
They even dared to say something like that? Their family has no shortage of God of Magic.
Besides, supporting a mentally unstable Dark Wizard to become a god would cost enough resources to train ten excellent successors. It's a losing proposition that no one would do!
