"Where's Moens? Don't tell me he's dead too?" Voldemort asked coldly.
Barty Crouch Jr., the Death Eaters he had left behind, and all the Acromantulas had been wiped out. He could reluctantly believe that, but he knew Ake Moens's strength very well.
None of those people could defeat him one-on-one. Even if they ganged up on him, he could still retreat unscathed.
"Not at all." Aaron smiled. "Moens is a spy I planted among the Death Eaters. Of course he's fine."
"A spy?" Voldemort froze for a moment, then seemed to understand something and burst into laughter. "Impressive, truly impressive!
"Even I found someone like Moens beyond reproach, yet you were willing to make him a spy?"
"The facts proved that I made the right choice." Aaron shrugged, his expression teasing. "Moens successfully infiltrated the upper ranks of the Death Eaters and passed along plenty of useful intelligence.
"Especially today. He protected Gabrielle very well. Otherwise, the battle in the Forbidden Forest wouldn't have ended so easily."
"You really went to great lengths for today."
"Thank you for the compliment. I began preparing after Albus Dumbledore died.
"Now that the contract has been lifted, you have nothing left to restrain me."
"That's right, but I still won this war in the end." Voldemort raised his voice. "Harry Potter is dead. I have ended that prophecy, and now no one can kill me.
"If you people know what's good for you and surrender, I can mercifully pardon you. But if you keep resisting, don't blame Lord Voldemort for showing no mercy."
"As for you, Mr. Gaius, your greatest mistake was appearing before me. This time, I will not hold back. I will not give you any chance to resist.
"And Moens—after this war, the entire Magic World will place a bounty
