The next day.
Aaron got up and signed in. After washing up, he left his room.
But the moment he came downstairs, he saw Hela lounging lazily on the sofa, holding a trembling white pet in her arms.
"Abei." Aaron's eyes widened at once. Hearing that familiar voice, Abei's dragon eyes welled with tears. Flapping its claws, it tried to return to its master's embrace.
Before it could move, however, a large hand pressed down on its head.
"You—Hela, stop that!" Aaron rushed forward in anger, yanking Abei free and rescuing it from Hela's clutches.
"Master, boohoohoo!!!"
Abei began to cry pitifully, pointing one dragon claw at Hela as if accusing her of something.
It had happened so suddenly last night! First, it had been caught and dragged into a room without warning, then this strange woman had threatened it with a sword. It had left an indelible psychological scar on this Young Dragon that had only just turned ten.
"Good boy, it's alright now. It's alright." Aaron carefully soothed Abei's emotions, staring at Hela with an unfriendly look. "Your Highness Hela, don't you think you owe me an explanation?"
"An explanation? What explanation?" Hela asked, feigning confusion. "Last night, while I was sleeping, I suddenly heard movement outside the door. I also sensed a fairly strong source of energy, so I thought Asgard had sent someone to capture me.
When I caught it, I was somewhat surprised too, because Asgard would never send such a creature to capture me.
I thought it was one of your enemies in Midgard, so I dealt with it for you. No need to thank me."
"Thank you? Thank my Hammer!" Aaron snapped indignantly. "Abei is a pet I've raised for ten years. You can't bully it."
