Aaron brought Jane's soul form to the mountaintop, above the sea of clouds.
Golden rays of sunset streamed straight down through gaps in the clouds, adding dazzling color to this magnificent and fantastical world.
"So beautiful." Jane curiously reached her hand into the golden light. "It's not real sunlight, but it feels warmer than anything I've ever known."
"It's only illusory beauty." Aaron sighed and pursed his lips. "Like a bubble. It may be colorful, but it bursts at the slightest touch."
Jane's mouth twitched. "Master, you really know how to ruin the mood."
"That's the truth, though I want this world to become real more than anyone." Aaron gave a simple explanation, then led Jane to the conference table.
He took the seat at the head of the table while Jane stood beside him.
A little while later, five illusory figures appeared on either side of the Long Table. Then, the hooded and masked Thoughtform sat steadily behind it.
"Everyone's here." Aaron tapped the table, then looked at Jane beside him. "New member, introduce yourself."
"Jane Volturi. I'm a vampire."
"A vampire?" Frank and Banner exchanged a glance. "You're the vampire the boss has been looking for?"
"Obviously." Jane gave a faint smile. "I'm also a Sequence Six Potion Professor of the Moon Path."
Naga let out an exaggerated "Wow." "The gap is way too huge! I only advanced to Sequence Eight last month!"
"We're all Sequence Eight." Ramon smiled self-deprecatingly. "Jane is ahead of all of us on the Divine Pathway.
"But it seems she overtook us on a curve. She started at Sequence Seven, and advancing to Sequence Six didn't even require role-playing. She just had to let nature take its course."
"You can do that? I'm so jealous!"
