Aaron held Captain Jack's Compass and followed the direction its needle pointed whenever it twitched, walking down the street.
Jane Volturi followed behind him, deeply puzzled by what he was doing. "Master, are you looking for something?"
"I'm looking for Thor. This compass points toward what the heart desires, so it's very efficient for finding people or things.
"But Thor doesn't seem to have any intention of stopping. He keeps wandering all over the place."
"Can't you just call and tell him?"
"Forget it! Thor doesn't even have a phone." Aaron was rather speechless. The Prince of Asgard didn't even know how to adapt to local customs!
Would buying a phone kill you? If you're short on cash, I could just give you one.
"What does Master need him for?" Jane asked somewhat awkwardly. Vampires possessed a natural sense of superiority toward ordinary people, but they avoided legendary gods whenever possible.
Jane had only recently joined the Gaius Family, and some of her habits had yet to change completely.
"To borrow the Bifrost." Aaron was succinct. "I can't casually reveal my magical abilities. If I want to appear at the auction venue reasonably, I can only ask Thor for help.
"Oh, and you're coming with me this time. As my assistant, you should get to see the world a little."
"Yes, Master."
"Mm..." Aaron smacked his lips. "When there are no outsiders around, you can call me Master. But when there are, it'd be better to call me Boss."
Jane froze for a moment, then looked at the pedestrians passing by on the street and nodded belatedly.
Calling him Master in public really was somewhat inappropriate.
"Understood, Boss."
A few minutes later, Aaron intercepted Thor at the entrance of a shopping mall.
The God of Thunder was currently holding a
