A gunshot rang out, and Bucky was hit in the left leg.
Blood gushed out. His body staggered, and he nearly fell to the ground.
Aaron did not let his guard down. After all, the Winter Soldier before him had been brainwashed and modified; he could no longer be considered a normal person. Ordinary bullets could do only limited damage to him.
Aaron fired another shot into Bucky's left leg, then swiftly swung the muzzle around and fired twice each into his right leg and right arm, ensuring that he had lost the ability to resist.
Bucky collapsed to the ground, glaring hatefully as Aaron approached. He wanted to fight back, but there was nothing he could do. He could only watch helplessly as Aaron's hand came down, and then his vision sank into darkness.
"Done. I guarantee Bucky Barnes will not interfere with anyone's operation."
"What did you do to Bucky?" Steve asked anxiously.
"Relax, he's alive!
"If you don't believe me, ask Hill. The control room should be able to see my feed."
"He is indeed alive." Hill's lips twitched slightly. "He may just have to spend a while longer in the hospital. With S.H.I.E.L.D.'s current medical capabilities... he should be fine."

"If there's nothing else, please go to the office on the top floor.
"Peggy is coming, but her health is not looking good. It would be bad if anything happened, so..."
"Sorry, she's your ex-girlfriend, not mine." Aaron dismissed it disdainfully. Peggy Carter and Steve Rogers might both be legendary figures, but that had absolutely nothing to do with him.
He had no interest in worrying about whether a dying old woman lived or died.
"This isn't an order. It's a request."
Aaron rolled his eyes. Wasn't that basically the same thing?
"Sorry, even
