After a retinal scan, the metallic door slowly opened, revealing a path suspended in midair.
"Welcome to Cerebro." Charles wheeled himself up to the central computer while the others tacitly waited outside the door.
"It really is one huge spherical chamber." It was Logan's first time seeing equipment like this, and he could not help but marvel.
"Mutant brainwaves differ from those of ordinary humans. This device amplifies my power, allowing me to pinpoint the locations of distant Mutants. I intend to use it to find Rogue."
"Why not use it to find Magneto?"
"I've been trying, but he found some way to shield himself."
"How would he know how to do that?"
Charles paused before saying gravely, "Because he helped me build this. Now, if you'll excuse me."
With that, he put on the helmet. Logan sensibly stepped outside, and the door closed automatically behind him.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk." Aaron clicked his tongue and said half-jokingly, "Looks like he hasn't learned his lesson. If it were me, I'd never connect my brain to everyone else's."
"Why?" Logan asked in confusion.
"Because not everyone... is human." Aaron smiled meaningfully.
