Lin Qingyue was born into Shenyun City's Lin Family and was betrothed to Su Ye from birth through an arrangement between their grandfathers. At Su Manor, she publicly refused the engagement and demanded to marry Su Ling instead, citing Su Ye's lack of martial progress and her admiration for Su Ling's Innate True Bone. 1

As a direct descendant of one of the Four Great Families, she received advanced breathing-meditation instruction, pills, martial-skill guidance, sparring partners, and other resources unavailable to ordinary students.
