The moment Hongjun and Yang Mei decided to compromise, they had made up their minds. Not a shred of resistance remained in either of them.
In truth, the Primordial Heavenly Dao had given Hongjun and Yang Mei a choice.
They could leave the Primordial World, find a new Grand Cosmos somewhere in the boundless Primordial Chaos Sea, then comprehend and bear a Source Great Dao anew. They could start over and attain the Dao in that Grand Cosmos.
It looked like a choice, and it was indeed possible.
But first, finding a new Grand Cosmos in the boundless Primordial Chaos Sea would be unimaginably difficult.
Even if luck led them to one, Hongjun and Yang Mei would be outsiders. Whether they could enter was another matter, and even if they did, could they truly attain the Dao there?
The Heavenly Dao of the Primordial World placed limits and shackles on its living beings. Would the Heavenly Daos of other Grand Cosmoses not do the same?
Not every Grand Cosmos was like the Mountains and Seas Grand World where Qinghong lived!
Far more Grand Cosmoses were much like the Primordial World!
What the Primordial Heavenly Dao had done was the most common practice!
So Hongjun and Yang Mei appeared to have a choice, but in truth, they had none!
This was a problem Dao Attainers throughout the Myriad Realms faced.
The only exceptions were those like Bai Yu, who had a heaven-defying opportunity to evade a Grand Cosmos's Heavenly Dao, or a chance to speak with it as an equal.
Such Dao Attainers, however, were vanishingly rare.
Even across the vast expanse of the Myriad Realms, they could be counted on one hand!
Dao Attainers like Hongjun and Yang Mei were the norm.
That
