Dissecting the Interrogation

Boro, who had been hit with a Sealing Technique, was being interrogated by Konoha's Interrogation Division chief, Ibiki.

As an expert in this field, Ibiki possessed a Summoning Technique that gave him an absolute advantage in interrogations: it pulled people into the "Torture Chamber" he summoned.

When Gigue arrived, he saw an utterly empty cell.

The Third Hokage immediately understood what was happening. Ibiki's interrogation must not have ended yet, so he tried to explain it to Gigue. But Gigue ignored him completely. He merely swept the cell with his Transference Eye, raised a hand, and made a grasping motion through the air. Ripples spread through space.

A dark space materialized directly before them. Inside, Ibiki was tending to Boro with torture instruments, seemingly unaware that his space had been exposed to the outside world.

This casual display of spatial manipulation left the Third Hokage and Danzo dumbfounded once again. With a point of Gigue's finger, Ibiki's Torture Chamber turned into a phantom and vanished, leaving behind a bewildered Ibiki.

When Ibiki saw Gigue, his pupils immediately contracted. He understood why his technique had suddenly "released itself."

If it was this man before him, then anything was possible.

He had gone to the forest back then and witnessed Gigue's battle. But with his strength, he had been no different from an invisible man aside from watching the entire fight.

Gigue glanced at Boro, who was bound to a pillar with a vacant stare, and asked,

"Did you get anything out of him?"

Ibiki shook his head somewhat awkwardly and said,

"His will is firmer than I expected. His tolerance for pain is extremely high..."
