Leaving the alley, Klein followed his spirituality's guidance to a dim corner untouched by streetlamps. The sudden stench of blood made him frown. By the faint moonlight piercing the clouds, Klein focused his gaze ahead and nearly did his part for global warming.

Scattered haphazardly across the ground before him were bloody thighs, calves, booted feet, ribs, a heart, arms, eyeballs, and other human parts. A section of reddish-white intestine hung from the wall, against a backdrop of vast splashes of bright red mixed with flecks of milky white.

Looking at the slaughterhouse-like scene, Klein felt physically ill. He swiftly circled around the blood-soaked area and examined the crime scene, where he found numerous claw marks.

"Devil Dog? Or..."

Klein's first thought was naturally the serial murder case, but he immediately realized that the victim was likely the Beyonder who had killed that black gang boss. He had been dealt with by the faction that had laid the trap.

The question now was whether that faction was the Rose School he had suspected, and where he should look for Sharron and Marich.

Carefully leaving the scene, Klein headed toward another street, intending to find someone to report the crime to. But just as he reached the mouth of the alley, he suddenly saw a brown carriage slowly emerge from the night and stop right in front of him.

Although neither his spiritual intuition nor his battle instincts warned him of danger, Klein remained cautiously poised for combat until the carriage door slowly opened, revealing its passengers.

To his surprise, the carriage held not only the expected Marich and Miss Sharon, but also...

"Mr. Sno?"

"Get in." Sno gave him a reassuring look. Curious about how these three had ended up together, Klein simply got into the carriage with easy confidence.
