Although Dan and Tsunade had yet to have any descendants, Kato Hisashi had been remarkably productive.

Besides Shizune, he had gone on to have several more children with his wife. Most importantly, every one of those children had shown talent as a ninja.

Some had already graduated and become official Genin, while others were still studying.

In the future, the Kato Clan might very well become one of Konoha's great clans.

Of course, that would take a long time to develop.

As Torikaze and the others chatted, it became time for lunch. Everyone stopped talking and began to get busy.

For a time, the Cloud Clan Grounds became lively again as everyone divided up the work and began preparing lunch.

About half an hour later, an entire tableful of dishes was ready.

Amado also returned home from the Factory in the back mountain. The moment he entered the courtyard, he caught the rich aroma, making the man who had been busy all morning practically drool.

He immediately went inside to wash his hands before coming back out to eat.

Half an hour later, there was barely anything left on the table. Everyone began chatting about all sorts of things.

Most of it was about the New Year—what programs there would be this year, whether the fireworks display could achieve an even greater breakthrough, and so on.

Fireworks were something Chisato particularly loved. The first time she had seen them had been during a fireworks display Torikaze had specially prepared for her.

So every New Year afterward, Chisato always looked forward to the fireworks show.

She had heard that a talented young man had emerged at the fireworks factory this year, and that the fireworks he made had turned out exceptionally well. Naturally, Chisato asked a few more questions about him.
