Background

Amado was orphaned after losing his family. Kakuzu saved him and brought him to Torikaze, who recognized the boy's potential after seeing a combination lock Amado had made. Torikaze chose to take him in rather than send him to an orphanage. 179 180

Torikaze secured Amado an identity in Konoha through Tobirama Senju and introduced himself as Amado's older brother. Although Torikaze valued Amado's talent, he insisted that the child receive an education, play, and choose for himself whether to pursue invention. 183 184

Amado adapted quickly to his new household. He was curious about every feature of the Windcloud Clan grounds, befriended A-Bai, and retained an optimistic, sensible disposition despite the loss of his parents. 185

Over the following years, he spent his time outside school experimenting in a small workshop. His early work caused frequent accidents, including an explosion while testing gunpowder, but it also established his reputation as a gifted inventor. 186
