"Nawaki had been left at his wit's end by him, so he could only discuss it with that girl. For now, they've only settled on a date; the betrothal gifts haven't been delivered yet."
Amado seemed a little embarrassed after hearing that. "I hope Nawaki won't blame me. I get the feeling he doesn't really want to get married yet, but Lord Hashirama has been pushing too hard."
Torikaze nodded without commenting.
"Have you thought about when Hogen should start looking for someone?"
Torikaze thought for a moment. "Not at the moment. That kid Hogen has his own ideas, so I'm not going to meddle too much. Besides, he's still young. There's no need to rush at all."
"I'm still alive, and the Windcloud Clan's family estate isn't his to inherit yet. It doesn't matter when he gets married."
Torikaze was in no hurry to step down as clan head. After all, the Windcloud Clan only had a handful of people, and there were no clan affairs that really needed handling.
"You're right. Then it depends on Hogen himself. Maybe he'll find someone suitable."
Torikaze spread his hands, utterly unconcerned. "I'm very open-minded about it. As long as he's happy, that's enough. His life is his own. As long as he believes his choice is the right one, I'll let him do as he pleases."
In Torikaze's view, he still had several hundred years of life ahead of him, at the very least. What was there to worry about now?
If he started fretting over all sorts of things at this point, he probably wouldn't have a peaceful day for the rest of his life.
"Speaking of which, what gift should we give Nawaki for his wedding? You're his shishou, after all. It has to be impressive, right?"
