"Those two kids were getting along just fine in their relationship. Why bring them here to kneel and confess their sins?"
Oyakashiro Homura said nothing and merely listened.
Just then, Hogen heard the commotion outside and came running out.
"What's going on, Dad? What happened? Why are Chisato and Uncle Homura here too?"
Torikaze sneered. "They think you're a prince, that their daughter is reaching above her station, so they came to confess their sins."
That thoroughly panicked Hogen. "Uncle Homura, what does any of this have to do with anything? What kind of prince am I?"
"Besides, Chisato and I are in a normal relationship. We both like each other. What does being above or beneath someone's station have to do with it?"
Oyakashiro Homura raised his head, somewhat unable to believe it. "Lord Hogen, do you truly have feelings for Chisato?"
Hogen nodded. "Please don't call me 'Lord.' I can't bear that title. As for whether I have feelings for Chisato, I can be certain about that."
Oyakashiro Homura immediately looked shocked, followed by some embarrassment. "This... I thought my daughter had been pestering you relentlessly, and that you had no choice but to..."
"She's been spoiled and willful since she was young. I was afraid you were unwilling, that she had offended you, which was why I brought her here to apologize."
Hogen was a little bewildered. "That's far too serious. We like each other, and we only got together after careful consideration. Besides, who could force me to do anything?"
Hogen's strength was among the very best of Konoha's Kage-level fighters. Even veteran Kage-level ninja might not necessarily be stronger than him.
As for the Six Paths Level ninja, every one of them had ties to Hogen. He could be called Konoha's most well-connected person.
