This was far easier than before, thanks in no small part to the group of capable trainees with solid fundamentals they had cultivated earlier.
That was what made the current work so much easier.
"There have been some problems with assembling the electric trains lately, so we've been rather busy. But they should be resolved soon enough. There are only a few days left before the deadline."
Torikaze nodded. "Electric trains aren't something that can be manufactured overnight. The current efficiency is already quite impressive."
"You only need to proceed steadily. Others will handle the rest."
Amado immediately replied, "Don't worry about that. Proceeding steadily is the most basic requirement. Aside from this unexpected incident, there have basically been no problems with the other tasks."
The two sipped tea as they talked, but rather than composing poetry or exchanging couplets, they discussed work.
No matter how one looked at it, it was an utterly irritating scene, yet they seemed perfectly at ease.
"Ah, I'm quite satisfied with my life now. Work isn't especially tiring, though teaching the new generation of researchers can be a bit of a headache. Still, I enjoy it. Training successors for the village is an important matter."
"When I return home at night, I get to see my family's warm smiles and my own child. This life is simply perfect."
Torikaze smiled. "This will only last another five years or so. Once Xin starts learning ninja knowledge and gradually becomes independent, you'll have plenty to worry about."
"When Hogen began becoming independent bit by bit, it was terribly hard on Chisato. She was always thinking about the days when she held him in her arms every day."
Amado waved a hand. "I understand that. I came to terms with it long ago. Children aren't their parents'
