"What are you planning to do next? Return to Torikaze's World?"
The two of them nodded together. "Of course. After saying goodbye to you, we're planning to leave."
Nagato found it deeply regrettable. They had only met two or three times this trip and had barely had time to talk, yet they were already leaving.
"Nagato, we'll make time to come visit you. We hope everything in Rain Country continues to develop well."
"Oh, right. Konan and I found an incredibly beautiful lake while we were clearing weeds. We hope you develop it properly—it could definitely become a great vacation spot."
Nagato fell silent. No one knew how long it would be before these good friends could meet again, and everyone felt a little upset.
In the end, Nagato was the first to break the silence. "Then let me see you off, okay? At least let me walk you out of Amegakure."
Yahiko and Konan could not refuse him, so they could only agree to let him see them off.
"Fine. You can walk us to the gates of Amegakure, then head back."
And so, Nagato escorted Yahiko and Konan to the entrance of Amegakure.
Watching Yahiko and Konan's retreating figures, Nagato smiled.
Besides Konan, he had two friends who had always cared about him. Whenever he thought of that, Nagato felt greatly motivated.
"I wish the two of you lasting happiness as well. Make sure you live well."
Afterward, Nagato turned and returned to the village, preparing to continue working.
There was still much to do in Rain Country. Since there was no Daimyo, Amegakure was effectively the Royal Capital.
Amegakure had to manage everything, and the work was practically endless.
If Konan had not been able to help him, Nagato would have worked himself to death every day.
