"Ah—Torikaze, I'm so glad you're okay!"

Tears glimmered in Chisato's eyes. If anything had happened to Torikaze, not only would the village hold her accountable, but she would never forgive herself either.

Torikaze climbed out of the mirror completely and landed steadily on the ground. The Crystal Mirror in midair also shattered into countless fragments and vanished.

He walked up to Chisato and comforted her. "Don't cry. Look, aren't I perfectly fine?"

Chisato quickly wiped her eyes, her face flushing slightly. "Who's crying? I just got smoke in my eyes."

Torikaze smiled calmly and did not continue teasing her. He had not been particularly surprised by the ambush.
