Jealousy

The apartment suddenly became busy. Seeing that Chisato still had quite a lot of work to do tonight, Tsunade joined in to help.

Torikaze assisted from the side, while the children started playing games in the living room.

Today had been somewhat nerve-racking, so there was nothing wrong with relaxing for a while now.

"By the way, doesn't that mean we have no mission again tomorrow?"

"Huh?" Konan looked confused.

Yahiko explained, "Aren't the Kage from the other two countries going out to fight tomorrow? Rain Province within the Land of Fire's territory is pretty much cleared out now. Only the areas belonging to those two countries remain."

At that, Konan understood.

"Seems like it. We have to wait until they kill all the Kage before we can go help."

That meant they could take another day off tomorrow.

Today, Konoha's Kage-level ninja had just finished clearing the battlefield, after which the ninja in Central City had mobilized en masse and swept through all of Rain Province in the Land of Fire.

Ninja from all three countries had moved together, so their speed had been incredibly fast. Like locusts passing through, they had left nothing untouched.

Hearing the children's discussion, Jiraiya said, "It'll probably be just as Yahiko said. We can rest for a day."

"Honestly, we really should rest. We've practically done twice as much work as the other teams!"

Jiraiya was clearly getting tired of all the running around. Now that there was finally a break, he definitely did not want to go anywhere.

But he still had to follow the organization's arrangements, so he kept glancing at Torikaze, who was helping from the side.

Jiraiya was certain Torikaze had heard him. Since he had not voiced any objection, that meant he had tacitly agreed.

Jiraiya was delighted.
