Torikaze read while pondering yesterday's events, failing to notice that Kakashi Hatake had also awakened.
Fully dressed, Kakashi Hatake had assumed no one would be up this early. But the moment he opened the door and saw Torikaze, he immediately walked over to greet him.
"Good morning, Senior Torikaze. I didn't expect you to be up so early."
Only upon hearing Kakashi Hatake's voice did Torikaze snap out of his thoughts. He looked at him. "Morning, Hatake. Did you sleep well last night?"
"Thank you for your concern, Senior Torikaze. I slept very well last night. I already feel much more refreshed this morning."
Torikaze nodded. "That's good. Are you hungry? If you are, I'll head to the Morning Market and buy something to eat."
Kakashi Hatake hurriedly waved his hands in alarm. "How could I possibly let Senior Torikaze buy breakfast for me? I should go instead."
Torikaze laughed. "No need. I'll go, or we can go together. The Windcloud Clan's rule is that whoever gets up first buys breakfast."
"I'm used to waking up early anyway, so I'm the one who buys breakfast at the Morning Market almost every day."
Kakashi Hatake had never expected that. A Six Paths Level ninja! The Third Hokage! The head of a clan! He personally went out to buy breakfast every morning?
No one would believe that if they heard it.
Torikaze checked the time on his phone and nodded. "Mm, it's about time. I'm heading out. Are you coming with me?"
"I am!"
Torikaze laughed. "Good, then let's go. If you see anything you like at the Morning Market, just buy it. Prices here are generally cheap, and the villagers are only making a little money for their hard work."
With that, Torikaze led Kakashi Hatake out of the Windcloud Clan.
