Background / History

The Human Race began as a weak Lower Three Ranks race on the Xuanhuang Continent. Its history was defined by repeatedly expanding its innate cultivation limits: its earliest known ceiling was Golden Core Nine Revolutions, but generations of powerful humans created divine arts and Divine Techniques that eventually allowed cultivation through the Spirit Refining Great Realm 193.

Despite these advances, the Human Race remained constrained by the Heavenly Pass, the racial limit imposed by its genes and cultivation foundation. Most humans could only reach about 20 points in essence, energy, and spirit, while triggering heavenly tribulation required 100 points; this left the race far from producing a Half-step True Immortal through ordinary means 413.

At the beginning of Song Ankang's time, humanity was endangered by Demonic Creatures, Ghosts, and hostile neighboring races. Several hundred Human Race gods held fiefs, with most stationed along the borders as the race's primary defensive barrier 259. Even under internal conflict and external pressure, the Human Race maintained basic order through unity, and was regarded as having comparatively less internal corruption than many other races 270 290.

Song Ankang's concealed rise transformed the race's position. His actions disrupted the Angel Race's Anti-Human Alliance, forced the Merman Race to withdraw from the Huafeng War Front, and enabled the recovery of occupied eastern territory 444 470 471. The Human Race initially knew him only as a rumored hidden ancestor, later associating him with the Nine Peaks Sword God 445 574.

After becoming a Middle Third Rank Immortal Race, the Human Race entered a period of exchange and integration with the Merman Race, Angel Race, Bean Demon Race, Demon Boar Race, and Giant Toad Race. These relationships brought resources, agricultural improvements, trade, and rapid cultivation growth 601 617 620.

The Song Clan gradually became the Human Race's new bloodline source. Song Ankang's descendants spread throughout humanity, granting many humans the potential of higher-ranked races; this transformation was kept secret for millennia 721 814. Song Xia publicly led the race's Sixth-Grade advancement and renamed Xia Kingdom as Song Kingdom, while acknowledging that Song Ankang was the true foundation of the Human Race's rise 832.
