Wukong Is Actually in the Hunyuan Realm

"That Sun Wukong is covered in supreme treasures from head to toe; let alone you, even we can do nothing against him."

The various Sages of the Mystic Gate could discern the origins of the magic treasures on Sun Wukong, and the Two Sages of the West could naturally do so as well.

The two Sages would certainly not blame Rulai.

If a good man who has cultivated for ten lifetimes and never lost his Primordial Yang joins Buddhism, Does that not prove that the Buddhist Dharma is boundless?
