Yan’s hunt for strength in the Sun Moon Empire led him to protect the Fire Mulberry Forest and uncover the threat of the Evil Emperor. Back in Heaven Dou City, he confronted Shrek, subdued Titan, and began a battle with Yu Yuanzhen that left the conflict between Spirit Hall and the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan unresolved.

• Yan followed the Sun Moon royals into the Jingyang Mountain Range, rescued a Golden Blade Soul Sage from Solar Worms, and helped the Fire Mulberry Tree King in exchange for its aid and the Solar Crown.
• Yan discovered a Behemoth royal’s corpse and three eggs in an underground ruin, used his Source of Life to save the eggs, and gained the lingering soul’s Golden Behemoth Arms.
• Yan used the Solar Crown to rally the Solar Worms against a Sun Moon Empire expedition, defeated Elder Xu, and later captured several powerful soul beasts in the Evil Forest.
• The Evil Emperor blamed humans for his missing son and threatened a beast tide, while Yan returned to Douluo Continent with Bai Xiuxiu and the three Behemoths after learning of the devastation in Sun Moon City.
• Yan challenged Yu Xiaogang’s teachings at Heaven Dou Royal Academy, exposed Tang San’s Twin Martial Souls, and warned Prince Xue Xing about Tang San’s identity and Shrek’s members.
• Yan opposed Titan’s effort to protect Tang San, defeated him with his Golden Dragon power, appointed Taino to lead the Heaven Dou City Mercenary Guild, and broke Yu Xiaogang, Liu Erlong, and Flander’s Golden Sacred Dragon fusion.
• Yan sent Titan to Spirit Hall’s Black Prison and refused Yu Yuanzhen’s demand to surrender the Dragon-Eating Beasts, prompting Yu Yuanzhen to surround the Holy Hall and challenge him.
• Yan and Yu Yuanzhen fought through Heaven Dou City as Xue Qinghe tried to contain the confrontation, and their Golden Flame Dragon and lightning attacks collided with enough force to shake the city.

Yan subdued the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, strengthened Spirit Hall’s position, and pursued divine and cultivation experiments across several worlds. After reaching Soul Sage, forming a Soul Core, and gaining new Soul Rings and an External Soul Bone, he left Bai Xiuxiu and the Three-Eyed Golden Lion to absorb the treasures beneath Dragon City.

• Yan defeated Yu Yuanzhen, forced the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan to disband and submit to Spirit Hall, and received the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud from Xue Ye.
• Yan awakened the Heart of the Sea God, declined the divine inheritance, and arranged to serve as the Sea God’s emissary while considering how to confront the Asura God.
• Yan helped Hu Liena obtain a ten-thousand-year Soul Ring, then worked with Bibi Dong to make the Soul Devouring Spider Emperor advance so she could defeat it and gain a hundred-thousand-year ring.
• Yan met Ji Dong in the Inner Earth, gave him a Soul Bone in exchange for future treasures, and reached level seventy after Flame helped him cultivate and bond with the Fire Dragon Egg.
• Yan brought the girls to the Ice Fire Yin Yang Well, where they chose immortal herbs, while he sacrificed the Fire Evil Tyrant to create a powerful soul ring and advanced his other rings.
• Yan condensed a Black Hole Soul Core, fused the Fire Evil Tyrant’s eyeball as an External Soul Bone, and set out for Dragon City with Bai Xiuxiu and the Three-Eyed Golden Lion.
• Yan found a Ten-Thousand-Year Profound Ice Cave beneath Dragon City and harvested its Ice Extremity Divine Crystals with Bai Xiuxiu and the Three-Eyed Golden Lion.
• Yan fed the cave’s Ten-Thousand-Year Profound Ice Marrow to Bai Xiuxiu and the Three-Eyed Golden Lion, raising their power as Bai Xiuxiu entered an icy-blue cocoon.

Yan helped Bai Xiuxiu gain the Far North’s support and qualify for the Sea God’s inheritance, while choosing a different path himself. After leaving Sea God Island, he sent Hu Liena into Slaughter City and turned his attention to Shi Nian’s plot against Tang San.

• Bai Xiuxiu absorbed the Ten-Thousand-Year Profound Ice Marrow, completed her breakthrough, and became a candidate for the Sea God’s inheritance.
• Yan defeated the Ice Empress, then persuaded her and the Snow Empress to consider becoming Bai Xiuxiu’s soul spirits in exchange for his help and a chance for Bai Xiuxiu to become a god.
• Yan brought Bai Xiuxiu and Qiu’er to Sea God Island, where Bai Xiuxiu began the Sea God Nine Trials and drew the attention of Poseidon.
• Yan refused Poseidon’s inheritance offer, and Poseidon told him that transformed soul beasts had been approved as inheritance candidates.
• Yan and Bibi Dong sent Hu Liena into Slaughter City, where the Slaughter King agreed to let her face its trials but hoped she would fail.
• Yan returned to Heaven Dou City for the Elite Tournament and directed attention toward Blue Tyrant Academy and Canghui Academy.
• Shi Nian trapped Tang San in an illusion outside the city, but Yan arrived and declared that he had caught him.

Yan defeated Tang Hao, recovered the Blue Silver Emperor, and helped hatch the Vermilion Bird’s child before joining Ji Dong on a journey into the Ancient Ruins. The arc ends with Yan opening the ruins’ gate and Ji Dong and Yao Qianshu beginning to study its elemental halls.

• Yan killed Tang Hao at the waterfall chamber, took his Soul Bones, and replanted the Blue Silver Emperor at the Ice Fire Yin Yang Well.
• Yan returned to Spirit City with Tang Hao’s Soul Bones, gave Bibi Dong the news, and began refining the Blue Silver Emperor’s hundred-thousand-year right leg bone.
• Yan traveled to Flame’s world, rescued Ji Dong from the Vermilion Bird’s cave, and helped the Vermilion Bird hatch her egg into Huo'er.
• Yan took Huo'er with him, met Ji Dong and Yao Qianshu in Heavenly Pivot City, and shattered Radiant Heavenly Pivot’s illusion after rejecting his claims about fate.
• Yan led Ji Dong and Yao Qianshu through the Bewitching Heart Tree into the Ancient Ruins, where he used Chaos Fire to open the ten-element stone gate.
• Yan entered the underground complex with Ji Dong and Yao Qianshu, who went to study the Ding Fire Teng Snake Hall and Jia Wood Azure Dragon Hall.
