Li Mu returned from the Human Emperor's Secret Realm, took Zhen Ni as his disciple, and set out for the South Sea after leaving Ruo Lan with a promise to meet again. A sea disaster cast him into Penglai, where he sought passage west as living corpses began overrunning the kingdom.

• Li Mu bound the Sword of Vows, received the Fuxi Clan's inheritance, and merged its hidden world with the Simulated Space, transforming its inhabitants.
• Li Mu returned to Tianling City, reunited Wang Yao with Bai Yu'an, and told Gao Ye and Zhen Ni how he had survived the secret realm while keeping some details hidden.
• Li Mu accepted Zhen Ni as his disciple, gave her the Damask Hairpin, and took her to Huiyue City to begin her cultivation.
• Ruo Lan confessed her love to Li Mu, and after he failed to answer, she sent him a letter promising to grow stronger and help him.
• Li Mu departed for the South Sea and tried to break through to the Immeasurable Realm aboard the merchant fleet, but injured a meridian and stopped.
• Lord Mo forced the fleet onto a dangerous route through the Devil's Triangle Sea Area, where a Yuan Qi Tide and a colossal octopus destroyed ships and killed the Old Captain, Ge Tian, and much of the crew.
• A whirlpool swept Li Mu and Little Monkey away, and a fisherman rescued them near Penglai, where Li Mu learned the kingdom had split into rival factions.
• Li Mu traveled to Hondao City and found a fleet bound for Guixu Island, while Baili and several Ten Elders agreed to seek atonement with the Cangyun Empire and living corpses began overrunning Penglai.
