A squadron of Silver Pegasus appeared in the eastern sky. Sixty Elf Warrior, dressed in the same silver armor, whistled through the air, carrying a strong sense of menace. Even while hovering in mid-air, they exuded an imposing aura.

A captain flew out from among the Elf Warrior, landing on Silver Pegasus in front of the elven students, and loudly asked:

Who sent the distress signal?

Before the elf captain could finish asking his question, an elf girl in the crowd said:

"Uncle Auston, we've run into trouble here..."

A shy-looking elf girl walked towards the captain of the Auston Company.

Auston Leader Austan's expression immediately softened, and he asked the girl softly, "Daisy, what exactly happened?"

The elven girl named Daisy whispered, "A Human Adventurer Group entered the Malaga Jungle, not only killing the Academy Instructor at the registration point, but also kidnapping some students."

Captain Auston pressed further, "Where are the two Elf Warrior who came to scout the situation earlier?"

Daisy seemed uncomfortable talking to people in front of a crowd, and answered with a slightly flushed face:

"They continued their pursuit westward. Uncle Auston, this time it was Klayr and Roy who discovered the anomaly at Checkpoint Two; they may know some more details."

The surrounding elf students immediately dispersed, revealing Roy and Klayr.

"Are you Klayr and Roy?" Captain Auston asked, his tone not becoming stern.

"It's us!" Roy and Klayr answered in perfect unison.

"Have you made any other discoveries?"

Klayr looked at Roy, clearly wanting Roy to speak for himself.

Roy then said, "Squadron Leader, I saw them a month ago at the port of Brown Street in Castleton City. They were crew members of a Great Sea Ship. After disembarking, they asked me to be their guide. They found an inn near the dock, and later killed a Dark Moon Elf in a tavern. That same night, the Great Sea Ship left Castleton Harbour."

"This means their ships are likely anchored in the nearby waters, which is very useful information for us."

Squadron Leader Auston turned and waved to the Silver Pegasus Squadron behind him.

Once the group of Elf Warrior had gathered, Captain Auston gave the order, "First squad, second squad, spread out and search westward. Once you reach the sea, search for their landing ship in both the north and south directions along the coastline. If you find any trace of them, immediately send out the assembly signal!"

"Yes, sir!"

"Third Squad, fourth squad, the surrounding jungle is dense with trees. I need you to use Checkpoint Two as the central axis and search outwards for traces of this Adventure Group."

"Yes, squad leader."

Finally, Captain Auston said to the last remaining squad of Elf Warrior:

"Fifth squad, stay here with me and search for clues left by this Adventure Group."

The four Silver Pegasus squads then dispersed to carry out their respective missions, leaving only the fifth squad to stay by Captain Auston's side.

Captain Auston and the Elf Warrior of the fifth squad landed and followed the elven students to the tent where the elven Academy Instructor were located.

Upon seeing that the elven instructor's throat had been slit, Captain Auston frowned before ordering, "Prepare this Elf Academy instructor for burial."

"Yes!"

The Elf Warrior Elf Warrior under his command rushed over, and one of them actually pulled out several painted wooden planks from his Magic Pouch in a very exaggerated manner, and assembled them into a simple coffin outside the tent.

They then carried the Academy Instructor's body into a coffin, covered it with a white cloth, and then closed the coffin lid.

Roy and the other elven students stood by, watching with wide eyes as the Elf Warrior finished doing these things and then searched the tent.

The Silver Pegasus Legion's squadron came out on a mission, and they even brought coffins with them.

This really opened Roy's eyes.

One of the Elf Warrior reported, "Captain Auston, the opponent is skilled; he must be a professional hunter."

Auston Leader Ostan cursed angrily, "Calling them hunters is an insult to the word 'hunter.' They are a bunch of Slave Traders through and through."

"They've kidnapped the elf students, so they probably won't be moving too fast. What we need to be careful about is not being discovered by them. Otherwise, once they sense the danger and drop their baggage, it will be even more difficult for us to catch them all."

After searching the scene, the Elf Warrior of the fifth squad dispersed again to look for clues around the check-in point.

After all that effort, the clues we gathered were actually quite limited...

Captain Auston immediately decided to leave only two Elf Warrior at the check-in point, while the rest of the Elf Warrior would accompany him to hunt down the Adventure Group.

After causing a ruckus at the check-in point, the Elf Warrior simply placed the instructor's body in a coffin and quickly left.

None of the elf students waiting at Checkpoint Two left immediately; they decided to stay Checkpoint Two for the night.

Because an instructor from the academy died at Checkpoint Two, and some students were arrested, the Elf Academy will inevitably be held accountable for this incident.

Moreover, since the teachers from the college hadn't arrived yet, everyone decided to wait here.

Some of the elf students simply set up camp on the open ground below the cliff, waiting for the academy teachers to arrive.

During this time, two more teams arrived at Checkpoint Two. When they heard that the instructor at Checkpoint Two had been killed, they were all stunned.

Roy and Klayr finally found their two tents among the mess of tents on the ground.

The two tents were covered in footprints and torn in places, leaving Klayr feeling somewhat disheartened.

Apart from Roy and Klayr, the other Silver Moon Elf suffered no losses.

While setting up the tents, everyone was speculating about how many students had been kidnapped by this Adventure Group, but judging from the many abandoned tents around the check-in point, the number must be quite large.

In the evening, everyone gathered a bonfire under the cliff.

For dinner, the elves ate almost entirely fruit, some berries they had gathered in the wild, and some Breadfruit and Elf Biscuit that they had brought with them.

Actually, Elf Biscuit are not made with wheat flour.

Real Elf Biscuit are made by roasting the kernels extracted from the seeds of the Tree of Life, grinding them into powder, adding some honey, mixing well, and then pressing them into cookies.

These Elf Biscuit have always been the rations for individual soldiers in the elf army; it is said that eating one cookie can keep you from eating for several days.

And the elf even brought a bag of dried fish...

Roy really wanted to try the lizard's tail, but Klayr refused to grant his request. Under Klayr's insistence, all the Petrification Lizard meat was thrown away.

It was because of this that Roy secretly made up his mind: once he had money, the first thing he would buy was the Magic Pouch...

Around the campfire, Klayr was still telling everyone what had happened that morning. Some of the elves had arrived at the check-in point in the afternoon and didn't know what had happened.

Roy sat down next to him...

To his left was Klayr, and to his right were several Half-Elf.

Perhaps noticing Roy's easygoing manner, a robust Half-Elf approached Roy and whispered, "Roy, is that sailor really the murderer of Jefferson?"

Roy nodded, then asked, "You know Jefferson?"

The burly Half-Elf curled his lip and said, "We don't know him well. He's Dark Moon Elf, and he usually doesn't even look at us. But Pelius is very familiar with him. Pelius and I live in the same Row House. Pelius usually helps us deal with thugs from other neighborhoods. Pelius died mysteriously a while ago. I originally suspected that thugs from other neighborhoods had a grudge against him and secretly killed him behind his back. Now it seems that maybe it was these Slave Traders who killed him."

Roy was surprised that this Half-Elf knew Pelius, and a thought suddenly struck him. He casually asked:

What kind of person was Pelius?

The robust Half-Elf waved his hand and chuckled, "That guy is a typical optimist, but he's a bit of a thief and always likes to steal things. But he's really loyal, and all the kids in our row of buildings have received his help."

Roy then tried asking, "I heard he has a younger sister?"

The Half-Elf then realized that Roy seemed very familiar with Pelius, and casually said, "You mean Windsor? She usually works at the library and doesn't live here, so we rarely see her. Do you know the siblings?"

Roy shook his head and said softly, "I only know Jefferson, and I've heard the names Pelius and Windsor from him."

"Oh!" The doubt in the Half-Elf's eyes quickly dissipated, and then he said mysteriously to Roy, "Let me tell you, I've always felt that Pelius's death might be related to the priests of the Moon God Temple, because before Pelius died, someone in our tower saw a priest looking for him. But now it seems that we misunderstood that priest. I think it's very likely that these Slave Traders were behind it."

"So you're telling me all this because you plan to wait until those Slave Traders are caught, and if I have a chance to speak with Slave Traders, you'll confirm with them whether they killed Pelius?"

The Half-Elf chuckled, a little embarrassed, and said, "It would be best if you could help us find the answer. You know we Half-Elf always lack certain rights; we probably can't even attend their trials!"

Roy immediately agreed, "Okay, I'll definitely ask around for you if I have the chance."

"Thank you very much!"

The Half-Elf immediately expressed his gratitude.
