Magic Inscription Construct
Scarlett sat in a high-backed chair, her long legs crossed, peeking out from the slit in the hem of her magic robe. Her arms were resting on the table as she smiled at Roy and asked, "Tell me, which Magic Inscription Construct do you want to choose?"
Roy considered it carefully for a moment, then said to the Magician Scarlett:
"Iron Armor, Magic Armor, Stamina Recovery, Great Bear Strength... Let's buy these first!"
Scarlett smiled and instructed the elven waitress beside her:
"Guli, go and bring these Magic Inscription Construct over here."
The elven waitress, Guli, crossed her hands over her lower abdomen, bowed to the Magician Scarlett, and said, "Yes, Teacher Scarlett."
Then, Guli hurriedly ran downstairs.
Roy popped the last piece of fruit from the plate into his mouth, then downed the fruit tea in his cup in one gulp, giving Magician Scarlett a somewhat embarrassed smile.
At this moment, Guli led four young elven maids upstairs, each carrying a silver plate.
Four basic Magic Inscription Construct on a silver plate. The texture of the magic skin was very soft, and the magic lines carried a faint magical aura.
The elven maid placed these Magic Inscription Construct in front of Roy.
Guli then quoted prices for these basic Magic Inscription Construct, saying, "Among these Magic Inscription Construct, Iron Armor and Magic Armor are each worth fifty Magic Crystal Stone, Stamina Recovery is worth eighty Magic Crystal Stone, and Great Bear Strength is worth eighty Magic Crystal Stone, totaling two hundred and sixty Magic Crystal Stone."
Scarlett tapped the table with her fingers, then turned to Guli and asked, "How much would these Magic Inscription Construct cost if purchased in my name?"
Although Guli hesitated for a moment, she still said, "It will probably cost one hundred and eighty Magic Crystal Stone, Teacher Scarlett."
Scarlett nodded and asked Roy, "Roy, do you need any other Magic Inscription Construct?"
Roy did the math in his head again. The Inscription Workshop was giving Magician Scarlett a 30% discount, which was a significant amount.
Roy didn't expect that the four Magic Inscription Construct would only cost one hundred and eighty Magic Crystal Stone.
He had 160 magic crystals left.
After carefully calculating, Roy happily said to Scarlett:
"Since the budget allows, let's get the Stone Skin, Grace of Wind, and Agile Thoughts Magic Inscription Construct."
Guli continued calculating the price and said to Roy, "These seven Magic Inscription Construct together... cost a total of three hundred and ten Magic Crystal Stone."
Roy touched the money pouch in his waist bag, suppressing his excitement, and nodded:
"This price is just right!"
Seeing that Roy was interested in buying, Guli respectfully said to the Magician Scarlett, "Teacher Scarlett, I'll go and fetch the other three Magic Inscription Construct right away!"
Scarlett rubbed her forehead. She hadn't expected Roy to buy so many tickets at once, so she could only nod.
Guli then turned and left with several elven maids.
In the rest area of the second-floor corridor, only Scarlett and Roy remained.
Scarlett glanced to her left and right without showing any emotion, then asked with concern, "Roy, are you sure you want to buy so many basic Magic Inscription Construct?"
Roy nodded and said, "Yes, Miss Scarlett, and I would also like to ask you to attach these Magic Inscription Construct to my Thick Leather Armor."
Scarlett ran her fingers through her long, flowing hair. She clearly couldn't understand Roy's thinking, but as a future member of the Adventure Group, it was essential for her to offer some reminders.
She said to Roy tactfully:
"All Magic Inscription Construct are subject to load-bearing capacity. Once your load-bearing capacity is insufficient to support the Magic Inscription Construct's requirements, the Magic Rune Array on the Magic Inscription Construct will usually be unable to be activated. As a result, you can only wear a certain part of this Thick Leather Armor at a time."
"Miss Scarlett, perhaps because I've learned divine magic, I have a slightly higher capacity to withstand attacks than others," Roy said after a moment's hesitation.
Scarlett blinked. "There's such divine magic..."
Seeing that Roy didn't seem to be joking, Scarlett pursed her lips and said, "Alright, since you've decided, let's do it your way. We'll attach the layers to the Thick Leather Armor one by one until your load-bearing capacity can't take it anymore!"
All seven Magic Inscription Construct were taken.
Roy secretly calculated the carrying capacity indicated on the brief notes accompanying each Magic Inscription Construct: the five Magic Inscription Construct constructs, Spirit Gathering, Stamina Recovery, Grace of Wind, Agile Thoughts, Great Bear Strength, each had a carrying capacity of sixteen points, which added up to eighty points. Iron Armor and Magic Armor each required twelve points, while Stone Skin required even less, only ten points.
All the Magic Inscription Construct combined only require a load-bearing capacity of 114.
With Roy's current carrying capacity, he can easily put on a full set of Magic Inscription Construct.
Roy poured the Magic Crystal Stone into a tray, counted out 310, and put the rest into his money bag.
Guli counted them carefully before leaving with the tray.
Scarlett pointed to the Magic Inscription Construct and instructed the elven maid, "Move all of these Magic Inscription Construct to my workbench."
"Yes, Magician Scarlett!"
Several elven maids spoke at the same time, and then, carrying trays, filed into Magician Scarlett's magic laboratory.
Magician Scarlett stood in front of the magic experiment table, and immediately became focused.
Holding a magic bottle, she prepared a potion in front of the materials shelf and asked Roy, "Tell me, what do you want to enchant for your second Magic Inscription Construct?"
Roy picked up the Stone Skin Magic Inscription Construct and asked the Magician Scarlett:
Is this one okay?
"Can!"
The leather is also very soft, and it's only about the size of the palm of your hand.
The Magician Scarlett carefully lifted the Magic Inscription Construct and placed it over the empty area on the right side of the leather armor, saying with delight:
"This spot is perfect. Luckily, the leatherworker who made this leather armor left enough enchantment slots. Otherwise, with so many Magic Inscription Construct, there probably wouldn't be anywhere to put them!"
Leather softening, gluing, bonding, applying a wear-resistant layer...
After completing all these steps, Roy put on the leather armor.
Sure enough, after activating the Magic Inscription Construct, a layer of stone patterns appeared on Roy's body. He tried to poke his arm twice with a carving knife, and the petrification of his skin was very obvious, and the pain was also greatly reduced.
Roy nodded to Magician Scarlett, indicating that she could do so.
Scarlett started attaching a third, a fourth... to Roy, until the last one.
She had prepared enough magical potions, so the process was relatively simple.
Roy donned the full set of Thick Leather Armor, and as the Magic Inscription Construct fully activated, he immediately felt the effects of various basic magical enhancements. Finally, he cast ' Strength Blessing ' on himself...
Roy felt like he could smash a piece of granite with a single punch.
"This is the first time I've ever seen Priest like you..."
Scarlett rested her chin on her hand, leaned over the lab table, and said to Roy with an incredulous look on her face.
Roy was a little reserved, and tried to be as tactful as possible when speaking to Scarlett:
"Um... Miss Scarlett, could you please keep this a secret for me?"
Scarlett glanced at Roy and said somewhat angrily, "What you're saying is practically questioning the professional ethics of an inscriptionist. You don't need to tell me this. We keep the Magic Inscription Construct of every client confidential, let alone the fact that you'll be my teammate in the future."
"Thank you, Miss Scarlett."
Roy quickly thanked him.
"You're smart enough to at least hear a word of thanks from me!"
Magician Scarlett tossed her long hair and said casually.
Her gaze fell on Roy. She wanted to invite Roy to a bar for a drink, but remembering Nora's warning that day, she swallowed the words back.
"If there's nothing else, I'm going to leave work now..."
"That's what the Magician Scarlett said."
She figured if Roy understood the implication of those words, he would invite her out for a drink, and she would reluctantly agree.
"Perfect timing, I also need to get back to Brown Street. Miss Scarlett, I'll take my leave now!"
After Roy finished speaking, he turned and left the Inscription Workshop under Scarlett's surprised gaze.
'What an innocent little guy...'
Scarlett watched Roy turn and leave, silently muttering a complaint to herself.
Roy left the Inscription Workshop wearing a Thick Leather Armor.
Silver Moon Elf strolling the streets in their leather armor are a common sight in Castleton City, so Roy's Thick Leather Armor doesn't seem out of place at all.
It must be said that the leather armor made by Jerome Master is truly superb.
It's breathable and doesn't feel stuffy when worn...
He boarded a Long Carriage at the entrance of the Magic Guild and headed to Brown Street. By the time Roy returned to Brown Street, the sun was almost setting into the sea.
There were no clouds on the horizon, and the afterglow on the sea was exceptionally dazzling.
Although he had informed High Priest Reed in the morning that he would be unable to return to the temple in the afternoon, he was still somewhat worried about High Priest Reed living alone in the temple after he returned, and unknowingly walked to the temple gate.
Inside the gatehouse at the main entrance sat an elderly Half-Elf.
Roy couldn't recall his name, but he was certain he had seen him in the temple.
The old Half-Elf guarding the gate recognized Roy and waved to him when he saw him standing at the gate.
Stepping through the gate, the forecourt appeared somewhat desolate, and the temple was silent, without even a light...
Roy walked along the cypress wall and around to the backyard.
Only the Study Room on the second floor of the row house in the backyard was still lit.
Roy walked up the stairs, his footsteps making a clear sound on the wooden steps. High Priest Reed opened the door and came out of the Study Room. Seeing Roy coming out of the stairwell, he asked him:
"Roy, how did your trip to the Magic Guild go today?"
Roy nodded and replied, "It went smoothly, teacher."
"Why are you running here so late?"
"I just wanted to take a look," Roy said, glancing at Jasper and Abbott's dorm room at the end of the corridor.
High Priest Reed paused for a moment, then looked at Roy and said, "You haven't been studying divine magic much lately. Starting tomorrow, you will learn the Hammer of Judgment. Although Judgment is a divine magic that only Priest can access, you can still learn it if you put your mind to it."
"Okay, teacher," Roy replied.
He knew what High Priest Reed was worried about...
"Go back, go home early!"
