"As the royal family of the Elven Kingdom, we have always proactively undertaken external wars."
"Two thousand years ago, the elves split into three kingdoms, each controlled by the Silver Moon Elves, Wood Elves, and Dark Moon Elves."
"In fact, after the Elven Dynasty split into three Elven Kingdoms, our Silver Moon Elf Kingdom did not grow stronger, because for the next nearly fifteen hundred years, we were constantly fighting the Naga Sea Clan of the Endless Great Sea."
"Eight hundred years ago, the previous Silver Moon Elf King allied with the humans of the Grimm Empire on the Roland Continent across the Great Sea, barely driving the Naga back into the deep sea."
"And from that time on, we signed a treaty with the Naga Sea Clan, agreeing not to invade each other's coastal areas, which has continued to this day."
"So, the modern history we study mainly covers the period from the split of the Elven Dynasty two thousand years ago to the end of the war with the Naga Sea Clan seven hundred years ago."
"During this time, our civilization not only did not progress but showed a trend of decline."
"We study this history in the hope that history will not repeat itself one day in the future."
"I know that most of the students here are Silver Moon Elves, and of course, there are also many Half-Elves. Today, we can all sit down together to study this history, and I hope everyone can understand why the Elven Dynasty declined."
The beautiful Elven teacher standing on the podium was a Silver Moon Elf Noble. She wore an exquisite white gauze dress, which attracted the attention of almost all the male students in the classroom.
In her first class, she outlined what she would be teaching in the next semester.
However, she didn't introduce herself, just came up and lectured straight until the end of the class, then tossed her long silver hair and left...
She didn't even have a Q&A session with the students afterward, which made Roy think this history teacher was quite unique.
Roy left the large classroom through the side door with the crowd. The Elven students talked about the beautiful teacher from the history class as they walked. Roy didn't join the groups of Half-Elves but walked out alone.
Walking in the crowded corridor, Roy had to carefully avoid the young elves hurrying by.
The break between classes was very short. Some students needed to cross the entire teaching building to get to the other side of the classroom, so everyone was in a hurry.
Roy only needed to climb to the third floor to the geography classroom without chairs, so he wasn't in a rush.
One side of the corridor was arched columns, and the other side was a wall full of Elven portraits. Roy walked slowly, holding his textbook, roughly looking at the portraits of the most famous Elven Kings in Silver Moon Elf history.
He didn't realize until he saw a row of sheepskin boots blocking the way and belatedly looked up.
Seeing Steve and a few young elves blocking the way, Roy took the initiative to walk up.
Fighting in the academy would result in immediate expulsion, so he wasn't worried that Steve would attack.
"You were lucky to escape yesterday, but that won't happen today," Steve said, staring at Roy.
Even his threats were so pretentious, which left Roy speechless.
He was wearing a decent noble dress suit. This kind of Elven noble attire was very exquisite, with openwork patterns, and besides some gold threads woven into the fabric, all the buttons were made of polished gemstones, indicating that he must have come from a large family in Castleton City.
"Okay, then bring it on."
Roy raised his head and responded without flinching.
"I'll treat you well."
Steve curled the corners of his mouth, with a hint of smugness on his face.
The confrontation made the corridor even more crowded, and then a campus disciplinary inspector came over.
"What are you doing? This is the Elf Academy, and it is forbidden to gather and cause trouble..."
Steve glared at Roy and left with his Elven companions.
Roy didn't expect him to take advantage of the break between classes to come over and make threats.
Thinking that Klayr had caused him so much trouble, he helplessly patted his forehead.
Now that things had come to this, there was no use in complaining.
In geography class, Instructor Harper stood in front of the huge sand table, talking about several highland cities in the Silver Moon Elf Kingdom...
It was another class where they had to stand and listen.
When class was over, Roy bent over and knocked on his sore legs, only to find that some elves had brought their own small stools.
Roy quickly walked out of the teaching building, not wanting to be blocked by Steve and his group at the academy gate.
After class, the academy's corridors were crowded with students heading out, and Roy was also mixed in the crowd.
Just as he reached the entrance of the teaching building, he saw Klayr standing on the steps, waving at him. Roy could only squeeze through the crowd, waving back vigorously and shouting:
"I'm in a hurry, let's talk another day..."
He wasn't sure if Klayr had heard him clearly.
He couldn't worry about that now, he could only follow everyone else out.
Roy arrived at the academy gate.
Steve, with a group of young Elven Nobles, spotted Roy in the crowd and immediately pushed their way towards him.
Roy was speechless. These guys were really going all out to deal with him...
Without waiting for Steve to catch up, Roy managed to squeeze onto a long carriage heading towards the Lower District, even managing to snag a window seat.
The carriage was crowded, with almost all the passengers being students from the Elf Academy.
Seeing Roy squeeze into the long carriage, the young Elves were once again forced to stop. They didn't want to squeeze into the kind of carriage used by commoners.
They could only stand in the crowd, angrily shaking their fists at Roy in the carriage.
Roy, not to be outdone, leaned out the window and looked back.
The long carriage didn't go far before stopping again, and another group of Elf students squeezed on.
Sabrina was actually among these students, holding a stack of books in her arms. She was being jostled back and forth in the crowd, and could only lean against a pillar. Fortunately, she had two companions with her.
She was only two positions away from Roy. Roy leaned forward and tapped her arm, signaling her to sit over there.
Sabrina didn't stand on ceremony, said 'thank you,' and sat down in the seat Roy had offered.
This kind of behavior, where a man gives up his seat for a woman, was common in long carriages, even considered a courtesy.
Of course, not everyone did it...
Roy consciously stood aside, blocking some of the Elf students who were trying to squeeze over.
Sabrina's appearance combined the characteristics of Wood Elves and Silver Moon Elves, bright and heroic.
Because of her Martial Arts training, her figure was tall but not weak.
Silver Moon Elves mostly preferred petite figures with balanced proportions, and tall female Elves were not very popular among students.
The long carriage traveled slowly along the long street, soon entering the Lower District.
After entering the Lower District, Sabrina's two female companions got off the carriage one after the other...
"I heard you offended an Elven Noble as soon as you entered the academy?" Sabrina asked softly.
Roy thought she had seen Steve and his group chasing him at the academy gate, so he said, "Sometimes it's like that, trouble always comes looking for you!"
"Did you take the Elementary Martial Arts course?"
"I did."
After saying that, Roy subconsciously glanced at Sabrina.
Sabrina couldn't help but hold back a smile, thinking that Roy might be learning Martial Arts because of her, so she asked again:
"Is Instructor Nora teaching your Elementary Martial Arts?"
"Yes."
The long carriage stopped and started along the way. Sabrina and Roy casually chatted about the popular female instructor in the academy. Roy even asked Sabrina for advice on how to improve his body's flexibility and balance.
Sabrina found that Roy wasn't so bad to get along with.
So she shared some of her experiences and insights with him.
When the long carriage stopped in front of the apothecary at the Brown Street intersection, Sabrina and Roy got off the carriage one after the other.
Roy and Sabrina's homes were on the east side of Brown Street.
Logically, Roy should have walked east along Brown Street after getting off the carriage to go home from the academy.
But Roy lowered his head and walked towards the Goddess of Freedom Temple.
Seeing Roy still following behind, Sabrina frowned, and the goodwill she had felt in the long carriage vanished without a trace...
Until she reached the entrance of the Temple, Sabrina stopped and turned back to Roy, who was not far behind her, and said:
"Why are you still following me? I'm going in now, so don't follow me anymore."
"I..."
Sabrina didn't give Roy any time to explain.
'Tap, tap, tap' she went through the gate and into the front garden of the Goddess of Freedom Temple.
