Background

Sabrina is Ms. Jillian's eldest daughter and Moira's older sister. The family lived on Brown Street in Castleton City's Lower District, where Jillian supported them through a fish stall. Their father was never discussed by Jillian. Sabrina attended Castleton Elf Academy, sang in the Goddess of Freedom Temple choir, and helped at the fish stall when able. 7 12

Although she was initially distant and harsh toward Roy, their shared efforts to identify Jefferson's killers and the thief of the Temple's Holy Grail gradually brought them closer. Sabrina used Roy's descriptions to create portraits of the sailors, Jefferson, and the elven thief; she also comforted Moira during an emotional discussion of their father's expectations. 22

At the academy, Instructor Virgil recognized her exceptional talent for sword arts, but Sabrina rejected the Sword Poet path in favor of becoming a Sword Dancer. Nancy later encouraged her to commit to that choice, and Sabrina did so decisively. 196 202

After graduating, Sabrina went to Sun Island Bay to train Half-Elf troops. Her work as a sword instructor, Beast Tamer, and Griffon rider made her a prominent commander within the Mine Guard Army. 682 687

She is initially guarded, easily irritated by Roy's childish behavior, and deeply suspicious of Silver Moon Elf privilege. Her experiences as a Half-Elf academy student made her especially unwilling to tolerate bullying or discrimination. 7 212 835
