Rescue Roy
Roy was surprised by Mulin's skill; she had actually knocked out the Dark Moon Elf Prisoners hiding in the shadows...
He looked at the Half-Elf female swordsman with some surprise, wondering if he had underestimated her before.
What Roy didn't know was that Mulin herself hadn't expected to succeed on her first strike. Her hand gripped the hilt of her sword tightly, and her heart was practically leaping out of her throat.
She only intended to distract the Dark Moon Elf Prisoners, but ended up knocking him unconscious with the hilt of her sword...
She stood there, her right arm, which was gripping her shoulder, trembling slightly.
Then she looked up at the Divine Light above her head and thought: it was this faint light that illuminated the figure of the Dark Moon Elf Prisoners.
The Dark Moon Elf didn't understand how the other party had discovered him until he fainted.
The blood of the Dark Moon Elf flows through his body, allowing him to blur his figure infinitely even in sunlight, like a hazy shadow.
The Dark Moon Elf ' talent for 'stealth' makes them natural assassins...
If they hide in the shadows and conceal their bodies, they can absolutely become completely transparent.
The room at the bottom of the shaft was almost completely dark. Even if the other party lit a faint ball of light, it would be impossible to reveal their hiding place.
But this is exactly what happened, and the price was being knocked unconscious...
The battle ended in an instant.
Captain Kepler didn't notice anything amiss. Two archers behind him quickly stepped forward, pulled ropes from their waists, and tightly bound the two Dark Moon Elf Prisoners, dragging them to the corner of the wall.
Mulin reached the exit of the shaft, where a dark cave lay before her, its walls covered with traces of excavation.
Captain Kepler stood opposite Mulin, holding his Iris Shield, guarding the other side of the cave entrance, cautiously peering out.
It was just too dark inside the mine; you couldn't see anything at all.
Walker followed behind and explained in a low voice, "That's how it is in the mine. Each of us carries Carbide Lamp with a moonstone wick, so we don't bump into the walls in the mine..."
After the two archers caught up, Captain Kepler took the lead and walked into the Mine Road with his shield in hand.
The Mine Road was only a little over a meter high. Mine Road wasn't stuffy, but it was rather cold and damp. The tunnel was less than 1.5 meters wide, and the surface was covered with uneven bluestone...
Just as Roy was about to speak, he heard faint footsteps ahead. He immediately extinguished the Divine Light. Two seconds later, a faint light suddenly appeared at the corner ahead, indicating that someone was walking this way.
Moreover, the other party was not alone; they were talking as they walked.
"Nila, what exactly is the meaning of that Rope Ladder hanging down from the shaft?"
"Who knows? If we can maintain control over the distribution of supplies here at the shaft, it wouldn't be so bad to live here..."
The speaker was clearly a female elf; their voices were somewhat dry.
Their voices rose from soft to loud as they were about to bump into each other.
Just as everyone was nervously preparing to take action, the two of them did not enter the shaft, but instead turned around and walked into the cave next to it. Then a beam of light shone out of the cave entrance.
Captain Kepler slowed his pace and continued walking forward.
Contrary to Roy's expectations, the shaft was not filled with Dark Moon Elf Prisoners; instead, it appeared rather deserted.
Walking through the mine, Roy discovered that stone chambers had been carved out on both sides of the mine. Although these were somewhat cramped, each room had a stone bed for resting. The rooms were only a few square meters in size and had no doors.
The quieter it was, the worse Roy's premonition became.
Doesn't this prove that these Dark Moon Elf Prisoners have firmly taken control of the shaft exit...?
Captain Kepler led everyone to avoid the cave entrance and continued to explore further inside.
After walking another twenty meters or so, Walker, who had been hiding in the group and refusing to make a sound, took a deep breath and walked to the front to remind Mulin: "Captain, there are more people coming from ahead. I can smell their scent."
Captain Kepler quickly lowered his center of gravity, bent his knees, and walked forward.
Several Dark Moon Elf Prisoners appeared in the Mine Road ahead. The Dark Moon Elf of them carried a lantern just as Walker had Carbide Lamp. He was shirtless, wearing only shorts, and his hair was disheveled. The light from the Carbide Lamp illuminated his face, revealing his ashen skin. He was clearly another Dark Moon Elf.
The elven prisoners following behind him were dressed similarly, their upper bodies bare, with a scimitar hanging at their waists.
Captain Kepler pressed himself tightly against the wall, trying to avoid those guys as much as possible.
But the Dark Moon Elf at the front suddenly took two deep breaths, looked directly at Roy, and the Carbide Lamp in his hand turned into a ball of light and hurled it at him.
Although this moonstone Carbide Lamp only emitted a faint glow, it was enough to illuminate Captain Kepler's body.
In particular, the Light Armor he was wearing reflected the light, instantly revealing the outline of his body.
Neither side expected to collide like this...
Seeing that he had been exposed, Captain Kepler no longer concealed himself, raised his shield, and charged forward.
He hurled his shield at the Dark Moon Elf Prisoners at the front, but the filthy Dark Moon Elf Prisoners showed no fear. He held a scimitar and, with almost no defensive stance, thrust it directly at Captain Kepler.
It was a fight to the death, with neither side exchanging a single word.
Captain Kepler raised his shield to block the Carbide Lamp thrown by the enemy, and at the same time thrust out his longsword.
The Dark Moon Elf Prisoners's longsword was deflected by Captain Kepler's shield, but the longsword in his hand pierced the man's shoulder.
Unexpectedly, the Dark Moon Elf Prisoners grabbed Captain Kepler without hesitation, a cruel smile on his face. He adjusted his longsword and thrust it toward Captain Kepler's abdomen.
A faint afterimage appeared behind him; it was actually the afterimage of the Night Blade Leopard lying on the ground...
These Dark Moon Elf Prisoners' eyes, like those of the Night Blade Leopard, were filled with murderous intent, ruthless and cruel.
Unfortunately, before his longsword could even touch Captain Kepler's abdomen, it was blocked by a thick book. Then, Captain Kepler punched the Dark Moon Elf in the chin.
The Dark Moon Elf Prisoners surged forward, and Mulin, wielding a longsword, also charged forward.
The Dark Moon Elf opposite us were all assassins with 'momentum'; they had tattered weapons hanging from their waists and wore no armor...
Captain Kepler was immediately struck several times.
Unfortunately, these tattered weapons were completely unable to pierce Captain Kepler's armor. Roy, holding the Holy Scepter, followed behind Kepler and knocked back a Dark Moon Elf Prisoners charged at him.
The sound of metal clashing carried far and wide within the cave, and was exceptionally clear.
These sounds immediately stirred up a hornet's nest, and some Dark Moon Elf hiding in the caves flocked to the area.
Dark Moon Elf possess only the most rudimentary weapons and wear virtually no armor...
Roy was a little nervous at first, but he found that these Dark Moon Elf were not much of a threat at all, so he stood shoulder to shoulder with Captain Kepler in front.
The Magic Inscription Construct on his body glowed with magical halos, and the two short daggers struck Roy's armor, then shattered with a crack...
Taking advantage of the opportunity, Mulin thrust a sword from behind, which pierced the man's right arm, and the dagger in his hand fell into the mine.
The two Elf Archer were at the very back of the group, their longbows drawn taut, but unfortunately, everyone was engaged in a fierce battle, and they couldn't find a suitable opportunity to fire an arrow.
The Dark Moon Elf Prisoners tried to slip into the shadows and disappear, but under the Divine Light above Roy's head, none of the Dark Moon Elf could vanish into the darkness...
These Dark Moon Elf Prisoners' greatest trump card was useless against Roy, as they were not wearing any armor, and even if they were first-tier assassins, it wouldn't matter.
Roy and his group easily subdued the Dark Moon Elf...
After the battle, Captain Kepler looked confident as he watched the Dark Moon Elf Prisoners pouring out of the cave without the slightest fear.
"I'd heard that these Dark Moon Elf Prisoners were vicious bastards, but I never expected them to be so easily defeated..." Captain Kepler laughed heartily.
Roy leaned close to him, forcing back a Dark Moon Elf Prisoners, and shouted, "Let's charge in..."
Upon hearing Roy's words, Captain Kepler indeed focused on his shield and charged forward.
Mulin followed behind Captain Kepler, her longsword thrusting out repeatedly, and several Dark Moon Elf fell one after another...
Roy and Captain Kepler practically fought their way out of that mine tunnel, which was only a little over 100 meters long.
Only when there were no more Dark Moon Elf blocking their way did Roy pick up an unconscious Dark Moon Elf from the ground, casually hoist him onto his shoulder, and follow the makeshift team into the depths of the mine.
These Dark Moon Elf Prisoners watched helplessly as Roy and his companions charged into the depths of the cave, not daring to intervene.
Several Dark Moon Elf tried to give chase, but were stopped by the Dark Moon Elf in front.
The underground mine tunnels were surprisingly interconnected, making it somewhat like a maze.
The group of Dark Moon Elf Prisoners did not catch up. Roy dragged the unconscious Dark Moon Elf Prisoners along the way until they turned into a secluded Mine Road, Captain Kepler stopped and let everyone rest for a while.
"Roy, you're really strong."
Mulin watched as Roy carried a Dark Moon Elf Prisoners through the cave with effortless ease and couldn't help but praise him.
Roy quickly replied, "Actually, my strength is just average. It's just that I had the magical effects of ' Strength Blessing ' and ' Great Bear Strength ' on me, which is why I was able to drag him over..."
The battle just now marked the first time the group had worked together.
I never expected that we could break through the Dark Moon Elf Prisoners's blockade...
Everyone's confidence in the battle underground has also increased.
Roy poured a little water from his water pouch onto the Dark Moon Elf's face, then slapped his cheeks hard to wake him from his unconsciousness. He then leaned close to the elf's ear and instructed him, "Behave yourself. You'll lead us to the Half-Elf in the mine."
The unconscious Dark Moon Elf Prisoners slowly awoke, saw Roy's somewhat serious face, and, recalling the battle just now, said to Roy, "You guys are newcomers thrown in... wait, how come you have weapons... ouch!"
Before the Dark Moon Elf Prisoners could finish his question, Roy slapped him across the face.
The Dark Moon Elf Prisoners pleaded, "Don't do it, don't do it! I know where they're hiding. I can take you there."
Sure enough, he had understood Roy's instructions, but he was thinking of making jokes instead.
Roy pulled him up; the Dark Moon Elf Prisoners was still curled up, like a wilted chicken shivering in the rain.
Worried that Roy might make another move, he suppressed his discomfort and led Roy and the others inside.
Roy followed behind the Dark Moon Elf, asking him as they walked:
"Are you Dark Moon Elf guarding the entrance to the shaft now?"
"That's how it is." The Dark Moon Elf Prisoners dared not refuse to answer, then he couldn't help but ask, "Did you climb down the Rope Ladder?"
'smack'
Roy slapped him on the head, silencing him instantly.
After walking a while, the cave was still pitch black. However, there were obvious signs of Gemstone Mine mining on both sides of the cave. Many stones on the rock walls still had some low-quality gemstones that had not been mined at all.
Upon arriving here, the Dark Moon Elf team finally spoke to Roy:
"This is the area of those Half-Elf miners. They bring us ore every day to exchange for supplies, mainly food. We usually trade here..."
Roy looked around the mine and found that it was indeed very spacious and the ground was very smooth.
However, there were no Half-Elf miners around.
"Where do they usually mine?" Roy continued to ask.
"It's in this area; you'll see it if you go a little further in," the Dark Moon Elf Prisoners replied.
Roy showed him no courtesy, and he and Captain Kepler sandwiched him between them. The group continued walking along the mine tunnel, and sure enough, they heard one after another the sound of chiseling against the rock wall coming from ahead.
Roy and Mulin exchanged a glance, Mulin immediately understood Roy's look.
Then, Mulin walked at the front of the group. Only when the sound of chiseling the ore became clear did everyone see from the dim light in the mine that a Half-Elf- elf with a bare upper body was carefully chiseling a piece of Gemstone Mine from the stone wall.
He sensed something was amiss and turned around to find Roy and his group standing to the side, watching him dig for gems from the rock face.
Roy and his group, dressed in exquisite armor and carrying weapons, startled the Half-Elf.
He let out a scream and tried to escape into the mine.
Mulin chased after him, saying, "Don't run! We're here to rescue you!"
Mulin's voice did indeed make the Half-Elf miner stop in his tracks. He looked at Mulin with some suspicion and asked warily, "Who are you...?"
