Sudaso Mithril Mine 3
The buildings on the east and west sides of the manor have warehouses and stables on the first floor, and dormitories built specifically for the Mine Private Army on the second floor. These dormitories are built to be more grand than those in the Second Mine. Upon entering, there is a row of armor racks and weapon racks. Each room has only six beds and is well-lit.
The buildings on the south side consist of guest rooms and showrooms. The guest rooms looked quite messy, probably because the Guard Regiment didn't have time to tidy up properly when they hurriedly withdrew.
Roy had no interest in the daily lives of the Guard Regiment officers, so he wandered around the exhibition rooms. Sure enough, the Mine Owners was a very tasteful elf, and each of the exhibition rooms had its own unique features. One of the ore exhibition rooms displayed many strangely shaped ores, and each ore had a detailed description underneath it.
As soon as he entered, he saw a glittering piece of ore with the following inscription: 'Commemorating the first piece of Mithril Mine successfully mined from the Sudasornan Mithril Mine.'
In another exhibition room, there were many hunting specimens. On the wall, Roy also saw a complete griffin head, its ferocious face lifelike.
Roy's room is on the second floor of the north side of the manor, near the staircase. It's a room with a living room, Kaka lives next door.
After dinner, Roy walked up the stairs and saw a white figure at the end of the corridor right outside his room. A woman in a white dress flashed by, startling Roy.
Kaka was in charge of receiving the buildings on the north side of the manor, while Roy was checking the situation at the warehouse.
In fact, Commander Blaize did not leave Roy anything of value.
Roy frowned and asked Kaka, "Why are there still women in the manor?"
"So the Mine Owners's family is still living here. Apparently, they're waiting for the Logistics Regiment Transport Team to arrive. Sorry, I thought I just told you." Kaka slapped his forehead and said, "They live on the other side; they are the Mine Owners's two wives and three daughters."
Kaka then added, "When the Mine Owners fled, his two sons also escaped in the chaos. You could say that all the men in the Mine Owners's family were dead."
Roy never expected that Commander Blaize would not only take all the valuables, but also leave him with the biggest trouble.
When he introduced the Mithril Mine, he didn't say anything... just like a sly old fox with narrowed eyes.
Roy faced the door and hesitated for a moment before saying to Kaka, "Send someone to guard the stairwell on the first floor and prevent any elves from approaching that area for any reason. I don't want to cause any trouble before they leave!"
Kaka was a little confused as to why Roy was being so cautious, and said, "Um, even if they are taken back to Padesto City, they will face trial, right?"
Roy turned to look at Kaka, patted him on the shoulder, and reminded him:
"That's none of our business. We're a newly formed Half-Elf Guard Squad, and countless eyes are watching us. If we make a mistake, we'll inevitably be criticized in public, and they might even use it to belittle Half-Elf. Since we've established the Guard Squad, we should try our best not to cause trouble."
"The Pattington Plane needs an army of Half-Elf warriors, so we need to do things right."
Kaka finally understood Roy's good intentions.
"Don't worry, Roy. I'll keep an eye on them," Kaka said seriously.
Roy patted Kaka on the shoulder again and said:
"Thank goodness you were there to help me!"
As you enter the room, a faint scent of lavender lingers in the living room.
The living room wasn't very big. Besides a sofa, there was a desk near the window. Roy walked over, sat down in a velvet armchair, took out a parchment and a Quill Pen, and began to write a summary of the mine takeover.
In addition, he also needed to write to the military headquarters at the Valley Camp to request that some Gray Dwarf prisoners be transferred to the Mithril Mine here, otherwise the Mithril Mine might be shut down indefinitely.
The most troublesome thing is that the furnace in the backyard cannot be stopped. Once it is stopped, the entire furnace crucible part will have to be scrapped.
Building such a furnace on the Pagisto Plateau is no easy feat...
Without a furnace to refine the mithril, this Mithril Mine is worthless. Who could transport so much Mithril Mine outside? After finishing the material request form to be sent to the military, Roy put away his Quill Pen and sat in his chair in a daze for a while.
He can finally relax for a while now.
What Roy liked most about the room was the bathroom with a bathtub, where he could take a nice, relaxing bath.
Taking a bath on the Pagisto Plateau is far less convenient than at home in Castleton City.
Especially in a mine, if you just go out for a stroll, your face will be covered in a layer of fine sand...
He vaguely heard a knocking sound, but Roy, lying in the bathtub, ignored it.
As he walked out of the bathroom in his pajamas, there was another faint knocking sound at the door. Roy stopped, and the knocking stopped, but after a while, it started again.
They seemed determined to keep banging on the door until it was opened...
Roy walked over and opened the door, finding an elven woman in a plain-colored long dress standing outside.
She was beautiful, a Dark Moon Elf. Although her skin had a pale, greyish hue, and her youth wasn't immediately apparent, Roy could tell she wasn't a young girl. Her blue eyes held a world-weariness that elven girls lacked. She pursed her lips slightly and spoke to Roy:
"I heard you're the new owner who's taken over this mine. May I come in and talk to you?"
"Um, whatever it is, let's talk here. The room's a bit messy." Roy didn't even blink, blocking the doorway and refusing to move aside.
He didn't even ask the elven woman's identity. He knew without guessing that she was one of the deceased Mine Owners's wives, but Roy hadn't expected her to be a Dark Moon Elf.
The elven woman looked somewhat embarrassed, her eyes pleading. She lowered her voice as she said, "Could you let us stay? If you'd like to help..."
Roy interrupted her, refusing firmly, "Um, I'm sorry, I'm just a lowly mine manager, I can't help you."
Seeing the almost desperate look in the elven lady's eyes, Roy steeled himself and said, "You can stay here for now. I'll have the logistics team take you away."
Disappointed, the Dark Moon Elf lady withdrew her gaze. She did not pursue the matter further, bowed to Roy, and then silently walked back down the corridor.
Roy closed the door and let out a long sigh.
It wasn't that Roy lacked compassion or refused to help someone in distress.
Roy felt that since they were living in this family and enjoying the wealthy life brought by the mine, they should bear some of the possible consequences.
The men either died or fled, and the women in the mines eventually had to face judgment as well.
At night, Roy was awakened again by a series of urgent knocks on the door, and then he heard Kaka's voice.
Roy quickly sat up in bed, hurriedly put on his shoes, and went to the door. After opening the door, he saw Kaka standing in the doorway, wearing standard armor and carrying a blood-stained longsword, panting heavily.
"What's wrong, Kaka?" Roy asked nervously.
While speaking, he did not forget to put on his thick leather breastplate.
Kaka took a breath before hurriedly saying to Roy, "Roy, sure enough, a few Gray Dwarf tried to escape, but Captain Timothy spotted them..."
Seeing that there was no emergency, Roy put on his magic-inlaid armor and headed to the backyard of the manor with Kaka.
The courtyard in front was silent. Roy and Kaka quickly walked through the corridor...
Upon reaching the backyard of the mine, a group of Half-Elf Warrior stood neatly on the courtyard wall, each holding a longbow with arrows nocked on the bowstring, seemingly ready to Fletched Arrow at any moment.
The Half-Elf Warrior gathered all the Gray Dwarf in the courtyard, where fires blazed around them. The flames beneath the furnace in the center of the courtyard were still burning, with molten lava bubbling continuously inside.
There should be many more Dark Moon Elf Warrior around, but Roy can't see them at all right now.
The five Gray Dwarf were bound together like cocoons and hung from chains beside the furnace.
As Roy approached, the surroundings fell silent, and all eyes were fixed on Roy, whether elves or dwarves...
