Drastic Measures
The sea breeze couldn't dispel the rising mist on the sea surface, and eleven Three-Masted Sailboat were moored in the deep waters of the Coral Reef.
As night fell, several Carbide Lamp were hung on the boat. Their faint light could not diffuse in the fog, but instead formed a halo around the Carbide Lamp.
The age of this ship is indiscernible, and its hull is covered with a thick layer of barnacles.
Several Gray Dwarf Bandit stood on the deck, constantly patrolling back and forth along the edge of the ship's gunwale. A bandit captain walked from the bow to the stern and climbed onto the roof. The surrounding area was shrouded in thick fog, making it impossible to see even the other sailboats.
The bandit captain stroked his beard, which was damp with mist, then tugged at his large, red nose, flicked his snot into the sea, wiped his hands on the wooden railing, and then said to the Gray Dwarf Bandit on the top of the Ship Building:
"We must be extra vigilant tonight. Chieftain Miles is leading everyone to the island for the operation, so we can't afford to make any mistakes here!"
He paused, placed his hands on the wooden railing, leaned over the railing, and shouted at the Gray Dwarf Bandit on the deck, "Tonight! No one is allowed to drink! If I smell even the slightest trace of alcohol on anyone, they'll be cleaning toilets for a month! I mean it..."
"Captain, let Braid clean the toilets then. I'm reporting him for hiding a flask!"
Immediately, Gray Dwarf Bandit responded with a loud laugh.
"Starting from the moment I set this rule..." the bandit captain roared viciously.
Laughter and commotion erupted from the ship again. "Braid, hurry up and get that flask you've been hiding in your crotch!"
A furious shout came from the Lookout Platform tower on the mainmast:
"Damn it, Piasano, if you dare to talk nonsense about me again, wait until I get down from the Lookout Platform, I'll hook your tongue out of your mouth and hang it on the mast to dry..."
"..."
"Haha! Piasano, fight back... Don't be a coward!"
A group of Gray Dwarf Bandit mocked Piasano, who dared not respond, and the laughter from the ship carried far.
Roy clung to the edge of the hull, his head above water.
The waves kept swaying him, pushing him towards the barnacle-covered deck. A conversation and laughter came from the boat, but unfortunately they were speaking Dwarvish, and Roy had no idea what they were saying.
It was pitch black all around. Although he knew that there were other Three-Masted Sailboat moored around him, the thick fog blocked his vision and he couldn't see any other ships at all. However, Roy knew clearly that there were eleven ships moored here in total.
Roy only brought fifty Dark Moon Elf Warrior this time, which was not enough manpower, so they could only push the ship across one by one...
Seeing a group of Dark Moon Elf Warrior surrounding the ship, Roy nodded to Captain Timothy beside him.
Captain Timothy disappeared into the darkness, climbing up the anchor chain, leaving only faint watermarks on it...
The Dark Moon Elf Warrior crept into the shadows, following Captain Timothy's footsteps, and silently climbed onto the ship.
After Captain Timothy boarded the deck, he led the Dark Moon Elf Warrior to hide in the shadows of the Ship Building. Vice Captain Tennyson began to count the number of Gray Dwarf Bandit on board. Gray Dwarf Bandit were patrolling the bow, deck, Lookout Platform Ship Building, and top of the superstructure.
Vice Captain Tennyson crouched as he walked back into the shadows of the Ship Building, constantly using hand gestures to outline the battle plan. In this respect, he was more meticulous than Captain Timothy...
Captain Timothy was assigned to climb up to the Lookout Platform to deal with the Gray Dwarf Bandit there, while Vice Captain Tennyson was to lead a squad of Dark Moon Elf Warrior into the cabins below deck to deal with the Gray Dwarf Bandit resting there.
A Dark Moon Elf Warrior climbed the stairs to the rooftop.
A Gray Dwarf Bandit stood on the rooftop, walking along the edge, completely unaware that a black silhouette was emerging from the shadows behind him, stretching out like an arm...
Captain Timothy had already climbed to the Lookout Platform tower on the mainmast, and he was quietly waiting for the signal from the top of the Ship Building...
Vice Captain Tennyson, who had entered the cabin, also hid at the door of a cabin. There were no lights in the corridor, and they were hidden in the darkness. He reached out and knocked on the cabin door.
'Knock knock knock'
Faint footsteps could be heard coming from inside the cabin...
On the deck, almost all the Gray Dwarf Bandit were being watched by the Dark Moon Elf Warrior lurking in the shadows.
All the Dark Moon Elf Warrior hidden in the shadows held their breath...
At that moment, an arm that emerged from the shadows atop the Ship Building suddenly wrapped around the Gray Dwarf Bandit's neck. A Dark Moon Elf Warrior gripped the Gray Dwarf Bandit's neck tightly, then plunged a dagger into the Gray Dwarf Bandit's left ribcage through a gap, directly into his heart.
The Gray Dwarf Bandit's eyes widened suddenly. He tried to struggle and shout, but his mouth was covered by a hand.
He stretched out his hands and grabbed the Dark Moon Elf Warrior's arms tightly, trying to break free, but he wasn't strong enough and couldn't break free at all...
Then, fresh blood gushed out from the blood groove of the dagger.
The Gray Dwarf Bandit felt his strength gradually disappearing.
The Gray Dwarf Bandit was powerless to struggle and died without being able to utter a sound.
The Gray Dwarf Bandit on the Ship Building were dealt with by the Dark Moon Elf Warrior, and Captain Timothy and the Dark Moon Elf Warrior hiding in the shadows of the ship's deck also made their move almost simultaneously...
One after another, the Gray Dwarf Bandit were felled by the Dark Moon Elf Warrior. Then, a slight noise came from below the cabin. Soon after, Vice Captain Tennyson dragged the Gray Dwarf Bandit ' corpses backward out of the cabin. The blood flowing from the Gray Dwarf Bandit stained the wooden stairs red.
These fifty Dark Moon Elf Warrior were all elite members of Assassin Squad. They infiltrated the same ship together and seized control of the Three-Masted Sailboat almost instantly.
All the Gray Dwarf Bandit corpses were laid out side by side on the deck. Captain Timothy slid down from the mast and did not allow the Dark Moon Elf Warrior to throw the bodies into the sea, fearing that the sound of them hitting the water would alert the other three sailboats nearby.
Roy received a signal from the ship and climbed onto the deck of the sailboat along the anchor chain.
As soon as he reached the deck, he saw it littered with the corpses of Gray Dwarf Bandit ...
Captain Timothy didn't exchange any words, but simply nodded to Roy before leading the Dark Moon Elf Warrior down a rope into the sea, preparing to capture the second ship.
Roy was left alone on the Three-Masted Sailboat. Roy climbed up the bloodstains on the stairs to the captain's cabin on the second floor of the Ship Building.
The room was dirty and messy, with the Gray Dwarf captain's personal belongings scattered everywhere. There was a half-empty box of cigars on the control panel, many empty bottles on the floor, and even a smelly sock hanging on the ship's wheel.
Bloodstains were visible all over the floor and wooden walls of the room...
Roy pushed the cabin doors open and didn't close them again. He turned and walked out of the captain's cabin, climbing straight to the top of the Ship Building.
Unfortunately, the thick fog of the night did not dissipate, and he could not see the ships on the side at all.
While waiting on the ship, Roy even thoroughly purified the ship inside and out, freeing the vengeful spirits that lingered on board.
He then went to the ship's hold to check for any remaining bandits, but the Dark Moon Elf Warrior searched very thoroughly, and Roy did not find any of the hidden Gray Dwarf Bandit. However, he did find boxes of supplies in the cargo hold below the ship.
This includes cloth, leather, armor plates, and a small number of weapons, etc.
Roy casually opened a treasure chest, and inside was a row of gold-inlaid bone china.
When the other box was opened, it was found to be full of Magic Crystal Stone.
There were many more of these exquisite small boxes in the ship's hold, suggesting that the Gray Dwarf Bandit had left some of their loot in the hold.
Although these ships look much more dilapidated than the Black Pearl, they have quite a lot of valuable items on board.
Roy casually opened a few boxes and found three boxes of Magic Crystal Stone and some sets of Magic Inscription Construct...
Roy emerged from the bottom of the cabin and stood at the bow again, where he could hear not a sound from the opposite side.
It took the Dark Moon Elf Warrior half the night to capture all eleven Three-Masted Sailboat.
The Guard Regiment successfully captured eleven Three-Masted Sailboat. Roy went to each ship to inspect them before he and the Dark Moon Elf Warrior wrapped all the Gray Dwarf corpses together in Fishing Net. Finally, they added a large number of stones to the Fishing Net before pushing the Gray Dwarf Bandit corpses into the sea to feed the fish.
Roy then led the Dark Moon Elf Warrior to sail each of the eleven ships into the deep sea, Five Nautical Miles from the main island, to ensure that the Gray Dwarf Bandit could not swim from the island to this location. Only then did he lead the Dark Moon Elf Warrior back to the main island on flying Flying Fish Boat.
The thick fog that had lasted for a day and a night finally began to thin out at dawn.
Roy returned to the main island's reef aboard his flying Flying Fish Boat, leading a group of Dark Moon Elf Warrior back to the island just as dawn was breaking...
He was somewhat worried about the battle situation on West Island. If he had known that the Gray Dwarf Bandit on the Three-Masted Sailboat would be so easy to deal with, he would have stayed on West Island no matter what last night.
When Roy returned to the island, the tide was rising, and the three islands that were originally connected were separated by the tide once again.
The group of Gray Dwarf Bandit on West Island were resting on the beach. Roy observed them from a distance in his Flying Fish Boat and could see that the large group of Gray Dwarf Bandit were exhausted after a night of fierce fighting. The tide had now submerged their path back to the main island, and the Gray Dwarf Bandit had no choice but to retreat to the beach.
Seeing a large, dark mass on the beach, I roughly estimated that there were at least two or three thousand Gray Dwarf Bandit gathered on that beach.
Roy took Flying Fish Boat around to the other side of West Island before disembarking and landing on the island...
There is only one isolated mountain less than 400 meters high on West Island, but the area surrounding this mountain is also very large, at least two square kilometers.
Roy entered the dense forest of West Island and quickly found a group of Half-Elf Warrior. Several mixed -Half-Elf Warrior Half-Elf Warrior were on guard around, while the others were resting on trees, looking exhausted from the night's battle.
The Half-Elf Warrior on lookout duty saw Roy leading the Dark Moon Elf Warrior into the dense forest and immediately woke up one of the captains of the Half-Elf team.
"How's the battle going here?" Roy asked.
"Those Gray Dwarf Bandit followed us around the West Island all night, and they only gradually withdrew from the dense forest as dawn approached..." the Half-Elf told Roy.
"What's the casualty situation?" Roy asked again.
"As you instructed, try to avoid fighting the Gray Dwarf Bandit. We should squeeze them dry on this island before dealing with them..." the Half-Elf captain said confidently.
Roy nodded, then looked around the camp at the sleeping Half-Elf Warrior; very few of these Half-Elf were injured.
The captain was about to wake the Half-Elf Warrior, but Roy stopped him.
"We'll retreat to the main island as planned. A medium-sized sailboat will be there to meet us..." Roy instructed the Half-Elf captain.
"Yes, Boss." The Half-Elf captain replied immediately.
This was just one of many combat squadrons that entered West Island. There were seventeen such Half-Elf squadrons that entered West Island, almost all of them scattered throughout the island.
The Gray Dwarf Bandit didn't want to fight at this moment, and even wanted to disengage from the battle and return to the dock to board a ship and leave...
However, it is currently blocked by the tide.
As dawn broke, the various Half-Elf combat squadrons gradually gathered in the forest. Before long, three medium-sized sailboats appeared near the beach, and Roy quickly led all the Half-Elf Warrior aboard.
The Half-Elf Warrior returned to the West Reef Main Island by sailboat.
The island's dock had been reduced to ruins, with some withered rafts lying haphazardly on the beach. Even the Gray Dwarf Bandit guarding the area looked around with despair.
Meanwhile, Roy led his Half-Elf band back to the temporary camp.
It was breakfast time, Half-Elf Warrior returned to camp for a meal before heading towards West Island, following the boundary between the dense forest and the beach. They needed to build a defensive fortification on the shallows between the main island and West Island before the tide receded, and then trap the Gray Dwarf on West Island until they surrendered...
Upon reaching the shallows, Roy saw a large, dark mass of Gray Dwarf Bandit swimming towards him from the West Island beach, about 500 meters away.
Roy shouted urgently, "Archers, advance! Prepare to launch..."
The Gray Dwarf Bandit, clad in heavy armor, could barely run on the soft sand; beneath their feet lay only sand and seawater...
When the Gray Dwarf Bandit saw the rows of Half-Elf Warrior blocking the beach, they immediately raised their Dwarf Chain Shield above their heads.
All the Gray Dwarf marched forward without hesitation...
With a sharp whistle, all the Half-Elf Warrior simultaneously fired their Fletched Arrow.
The Fletched Arrow traced graceful parabolas in the sky, falling one after another into the Gray Dwarf Bandit ' formation...
The Gray Dwarf Bandit were stuck in waist-deep water, their feet sinking into the sand, making each step extremely difficult.
At that moment, countless arrows flew from the sky. A group of Gray Dwarf Bandit withstood the attack with their armor and shields. A rain of arrows fell, and many Gray Dwarf were hit by several arrows...
