Argument

The three investigators sat in the lounge area of the military headquarters, their hearts filled with rage, staring at the reception staff sitting opposite them.

He kept complaining to the Silver Pegasus Military Department's reception staff about just how terrible the security was on the Pagisto Plateau in the Pattington Plane.

What enormous price did the three of them pay to escape from those headhunters, and how did they travel thousands of kilometers with a small merchant caravan, passing through many places before finally returning to Padesto City?

"At the time, we were trying to cross the Kaltim Mountain Range... you have no idea... we..."

The Silver Moon Elf receptionist sitting on the opposite sofa didn't even know where the Pagisto Plateau was. She listened quietly as the three investigators went on and on about the security problems on the Pagisto Plateau.

She turned her head and glanced at the map of the elven territory in the Pattington Plane the lobby on the first floor. In fact, apart from the jungles surrounding Padesto City, only the Rampart Town in the northern part of the Griffon Bulwark Mountain Range had a rough outline of its boundaries on that map.

This is the officially recognized territory of the Silver Pegasus Legion...

Although the Pagisto Plateau is now under the control of the Silver Pegasus Legion, no new areas have been added to its territory yet.

After listening quietly to the accusations of the three investigators, the receptionist said:

"Three investigators, we are in the Pattington Plane. Only the jungle between Padesto City and Rampart Town is occupied by the elves. The Pagisto Plateau is currently still in the development stage, so you are not the only one who was attacked by headhunters there."

She noticed the three investigators looked rather grim, and gave a dry laugh, saying, "If you suffered financial losses at the time, actually... the best solution would have been to seek help from the local Mine Guard Regiment. I'm sure they would be very willing to assist you, sirs..."

Her second sentence was originally meant to make up for the shortcomings of the first sentence.

However, she paused suddenly halfway through her sentence, which made the sentence sound a little unpleasant.

Suppressing his anger, the investigator said to the young Silver Moon Elf receptionist, "What do you mean? According to you, is it normal for us to be attacked by natives on the Pagisto Plateau?"

"That's absolutely right!"

The female receptionist lowered her eyelids and responded softly.

Upon hearing the Silver Moon Elf receptionist's irresponsible words, the investigator could no longer contain his anger. He stood up abruptly and rebuked her, "What are you saying? As a low-ranking officer in the Silver Pegasus Military Department, how can you utter such irresponsible words?"

The Silver Moon Elf receptionist then realized that she seemed to have angered the other party. She was so frightened that she shrank into the corner of the sofa, blinked her watery eyes, and dared not speak.

The investigator raised his voice:

"I'm going to complain to your best officer here! I'm a Silver Moon Elven Nobles with a precious friendship with Earl McCauley, and your words are utterly disappointing."

His voice carried far, and for a moment the elves in the hall all looked toward the rest area.

While Roy was filling out the registration form at the front desk, he heard arguing coming from the lounge area.

He didn't pay much attention at first, and even exchanged a few jokes with the smiling Silver Moon Elf receptionist.

In fact, even the reception staff at the Silver Pegasus Military Department are Silver Moon Elf with connections.

Many of the elves, like Christine, were grinding experience within the Silver Pegasus Legion. However, Christine was clearly much stronger than them; at least she had gone to the battlefield on Empress Ivini Islands.

The name ' Boss Roy ' is now a household name in Padesto City and is highly sought after by the Half-Elf.

The Silver Moon Elf receptionist then asked Roy with a smile what the scenery of the Pagisto Plateau was like.

Roy gave a few casual answers, handed in the registration form, and turned to leave the front desk.

He wanted to go to the logistics and transportation group to see if he could apply for another batch of military supplies. As he passed by the rest area, he saw three investigators arguing with the reception staff.

Roy thought the three investigators looked familiar, so he stopped in his tracks.

Actually, this kind of thing is not very common in the Silver Pegasus Military Department.

Who would dare cause trouble here at the military headquarters!

Aren't you afraid the military will block your logistical supplies?

However, he didn't take the argument to heart.

But when he heard the words "Pagisto Plateau" appear in the arguments, he finally focused his attention and listened...

Roy then discovered that the argument was indeed related to him; the three Silver Moon Elf standing in the rest area were investigators who had gone to the Plateau City to investigate the cause of death of the Mine Owner Abel.

Roy immediately took two steps back and stood behind several Silver Moon Elf Officer.

At this time, many officers had already gathered around the rest area in the lobby on the first floor of the military headquarters.

However, no one had a good solution to the situation where the three Silver Moon Elf investigators, their faces full of anger, were loudly berating the reception staff.

The officers didn't even know how to calm the argument down; they couldn't very well arrest the three investigators.

Soon, a Silver Moon Elf official strode over.

Everyone made way to the sides, and Roy mingled in the crowd.

The Silver Moon Elf official glanced at the Silver Moon Elf receptionist who had been scolded, and calmly instructed, "Go to the front desk. I'll handle things here!"

The elven receptionist puffed out her cheeks, breathed a sigh of relief, and immediately turned and left without looking back.

Immediately afterwards, another Silver Moon Elf receptionist quickly walked over carrying a tray with three cups of Lemon Tea on it.

The officer politely asked the three investigators to sit down again.

Roy recognized the officer; he was the person in charge of the main hall on the first floor of the military headquarters.

The officer glanced at the officers watching around him, but before he could say anything, the onlookers dispersed and went about their own business.

The three investigators noticed the badge on the elven official's collar, and their imposing aura immediately softened.

The Silver Moon Elf official smiled faintly and said, "Let's arrange a place for you all to rest first. Please feel free to tell me if you need anything, and I will try my best to meet your needs. If I can't, I will report your concerns to my superiors. What do you think?"

One of the investigators, his face flushed, snorted in dissatisfaction and asked, "Who is the highest-ranking military officer on your side?"

"Chief of Staff Camp.Fred," the Silver Moon Elf Officer said succinctly.

The three investigators exchanged glances before saying, "We would like to see this Chief Commander."

The Silver Moon Elf Officer replied without hesitation, "No problem, I'll make an appointment for you right away."

The investigator asked, clearly displeased, "Do we need an appointment to see Chief of Staff Camp.Fred?"

The Silver Moon Elf Officer smiled slightly and said, "Chief of Staff Camp.Fred is currently in a meeting at the Silver Pegasus Legion headquarters on Empress Ivini Islands. If you want to see him immediately, I can send you out of the Pattington Plane right away."

The investigators exchanged glances again and readily agreed, "Sure, I was just about to visit Commander McCauley."

The Silver Moon Elf Officer calmed down the three investigators with just a few words.

Roy mingled in the crowd, watching as the three investigators followed the Silver Moon Elf official out of the military headquarters' first-floor hall.

As soon as the three investigators left the military hall, a group of Silver Moon Elf Officer began to discuss the matter.

They were somewhat dissatisfied with the arrogant attitude of the three investigators.

"What's wrong with these three investigators...?"

The female Silver Moon Elf at the front desk, who had just been chatting and laughing with Roy, chuckled and muttered under her breath, "Does working in the Pattington Plane make us inferior to other Silver Moon Elf?"

The colleague standing next to him glanced at Roy, who was walking away, and whispered, "It's perfectly fine for them to investigate our legion's officers in secret, requiring the cooperation of the military headquarters! But when they went to the Pagisto Plateau to investigate and collect evidence, they didn't even need anyone from the military headquarters to accompany them, nor did they need the guards we arranged. Now that something has gone wrong, they come to our military headquarters to condemn us. What kind of logic is that?"

"To be honest, they came here just to find fault, what can we do?"

"Stop talking, these things are too sensitive..."

After Roy was promoted to a first-level High Priest, his five senses became much more acute than before, and these whispers did not escape his ears.

He calmly pushed open the door and left the military headquarters hall.

Standing on the street, Roy scratched his head in a somewhat troubled manner.

Unexpectedly, the news that he was being investigated by the Buenos Elven Council of Elders had already spread throughout the Padesto Silver Pegasus Military Department.

It's true what they say, good news doesn't travel far, but bad news travels fast! This time, Roy came to the military headquarters to sign in and also submitted an application.

In fact, this application was the final step; he hoped to establish an administrative department for the Magic Airship on the Pattington Plane.

If the Air Port Dock in Padesto City weren't outside his jurisdiction, he wouldn't even need to submit this application to the Padesto Silver Pegasus Military Department.

The Commander Berkeley had already helped him complete the necessary procedures for building the Air Port Dock some time ago, and an Air Port Dock had been built on the outskirts of Padesto City.

The two Magic Airship are currently docked at the Air Port Dock in Padesto City.

Roy walked over to a carriage and asked the coachman about the rental fee.

He also needed to rush to the warehouse to see Langbo.

The lifting of the ban on the Pattington Plane has greatly impacted Roy's trade in Elementary Magic Herbs. Although the merchant Augustus controls the supply from the Blackwater Swamp, Roy still wants the transactions between the two sides to be as close to market prices as possible.

Actually, he didn't start trading Magic Herbs to make money. What could be more profitable than running a mine?

His intention was to transport the large stockpile of Elementary Magic Herbs from the Pattington Plane to the Elf Continent, hoping to improve the living conditions of the gatherers in the Pattington Plane. Who could have imagined that the Magic Herbs market would suddenly explode, with the prices of these Magic Herbs multiplying...

Trading Elementary Magic Herbs is actually more profitable than running a mine!

In addition to Augustus acquiring Magic Herbs in the Blackwater Swamp, Leishande also transports a large quantity of Magic Herbs from the Pagisto Plateau every month.

So Roy planned to give up as much profit as possible, at least to bring the purchase price up to the market price. After all, his Elementary Magic Herbs business also received tax subsidies from the Silver Pegasus military, so he couldn't let those gatherers lose money.
